Waited too long when picked up and dropped off

VERY poor customer service and horrible manager. I was sent an email with after hours drop off instructions. The email had a glitch and sent me to the original drop off location so that I could not get to the page with the instructions, so I did what any rental car agency would do and left the key in the vehicle. 2 days later the worst manager in the entire world (Chris Perry) called me and very rudely explained that I'm responsible for charges including the last 2 days and a locksmith because the vehicle could not be rented until the door was unlocked. I had not received a call regarding this matter the very next morning so that it could be handled accordingly, clearly meaning that nobody did inventory on the trucks the next day nor did they need that truck for another reservation. I was hung up on and transferred to bogus departments many times by regional management and was falsely told that it was impossible to speak with a manager at that office. Very poor customer service, technical support needs upgrading, system is a mess, and they will try and charge you every extra charge they can think of even though the situation is a result of a glitch in their very system. Employees do not do their job, clearly, and try and charge you for their very own mistakes and lack of work ethics. Horrible.

I do NOT like the new 1/4 tank thing and having to order up how many miles ahead of time. Its not customer friendly, and I was confused and felt demeaned because I didnt understand!!!! I will probably never use Uhaul again due to these changes.

Be sure the truck is ready for the customer at the scheduled time of the confirmed pick up. I was to pick up my truck using the U-Haul app at 7:00 AM. I had to wait until the facility opened at 9:00 because a truck was not assigned to me causing a two hour delay during a very busy and scheduled move day for my family. Very disappointing.

This was an excellent experience. I just needed a cargo van for a day to get a few things moved. U-Haul was the perfect solution. The truck had low miles (11,281), was comfortable to drive and the employees were great. Pickup took about 12 minutes. The return took about 5 minutes. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Keep up the good work. I highly recommend this U-Haul site.

I ordered a specific trailer for one location. According to the website it was available. I reserved it for 11am the next day. I get a call then next day at 10am and she tells me that my trailer will be at another location. I had to call and cancel. I then called the "home office" uhaul in Pawtucket, RI and they had the trailer there. Why wasnt it on the website!? Anyways, the guy at the pawtuckwt location was really helpful and good to deal with. I cant remember his first name but his last name was Da Cruz. He got me the trailer and was done in two seconds. When i returned it, same thing; got me in and out. Besides the frustration in the beginning overall it was a great experience.

Had two Uboxes to unload into Uhaul truck for transfer to my new home, I spoke with someone the day before to make sure they would be ready and was assured they would be. I arrived at location the following day, Uboxes weren't ready, had movers waiting already on the clock and attitude from the employee. To confirm they would be ready I had to speak with four different people and was put on hold for at least 45 minutes

Ask the customer if they've used uhaul before. If not, ensure that they are aware of the proper procedures in place for maintaining and returning the vehicle. Ensure that they are aware of any fees or charges that will take place based on the return policy.

I drove exactly 6 miles and was charged for two gallons of gas. Something about that doesn't add up.

We were overcharged 50 something dollars I called the store the person I spoke to said he would look into it and call me back in five minutes you never called me back I waited all day then I called back at the end of the day spoke with someone who claim to be the assistant manager assured me that he would call me right back never heard from him either we were overcharged one day and for six pads there were no pads in the truck and we have never used pads when we rented from you in the past we have no use for pads
