The uhaul I received smelled like shut! Literally! Mentioned that we had to have windows down in90 degree heat because we would gag! I should have brought it back but just rented for the night. No compensation it was gross. He mentioned he has done everything to get the smell out! Why send it out with a customer when you have 20 more sitting there. Just did not make sence!Colleen M.

The pickup time for my reservation was changed, and I didn't get any notification (I think I missed a call, but I'm expecting at least an email about the change). I arrived at the pickup location and was not able to get access to the Uhaul, which wasted a lot of my time.Ke Z.
The staff is incredible. They are so helpful. Equipment was in good condition. If anyone needs to rent equipment I would absolutely recommend this location because of the staff. I would tell anyone to store their items elsewhere. I rented storage space on the second floor of the location and the floor is so damaged the Mars rover would have trouble navigating it. My items were constantly being shaken off of my cart. Unloading was the last part of my move and this made it kind of a nightmare.Brandon D.

Blake was the nicest Uhual worker I have ever come across. I have used Uhual all throughout college and every experience has been different. But Blake went above and beyond, had a kind personality, and seriously I think the nicest worker I have ever had an interaction with at a store. That man needs a raise because he goes above and beyond. This was a difficult move since I am currently in ID and made all the arrangements online, and my brother-in-liaw actually drove the truck from your facility to the location to load it with our household goods. Everyone was great, and when I had trouble converting from reserved to booking the storage units, the U-Haul rep was great and made it available on his end so I could go ahead and book/pay online from here. U-Haul does a great job in providing vehicles ready to go with one notable exception which is the vehicle's insurance documentation. The contract is too hard to read and usually people busy with moving do not have time to read all the legalese. I always end up driving the vehicle with anxiety because I'm not sure about the liability for third party's property damage or other person's injuries. U-Haul should improve in providing insurance coverage explanation and maybe provide option to buy liability coverage for all types vehicle in the fleet.Clinio M.

I reserved a unit near me. When I went to pick up the cargo van from that location they said they didn't have any 15' units and hadn't had any in months. WHAT!?! Why would you allow me to reserve one that didn't exist?!?! Thankfully, the next closest location had 1. But we had to hurry to get there in time to get it. It was well over twice as far away. Not good for mileage costs (and fuel). It also cost us precious time. When we got home, friends were waiting to help us load. My husband and I went to unload. We went back and forth with the carts, and we loaded them up and started to go back in, but the doors were locked (10:00 snuck up on us)! With all of the automation, why is there not a "we will be closing in 15 minutes"announcement?!? So we had to put all that stuff back in the van! The next morning, hubs had to work, a girlfriend of mine came and we got the van unpacked. I have a torn rotator cuff ... 😫 and had to do more lifting than necessary because the doors locked on us. I will never recommend anyone use uhaul storage. If they must, I will tell them not to reserve it online.Shirley M. | First Impressions

I've always had a pleasant and helpful experience at the U-Haul north shore location Pittsburgh pa on Western Ave Brad ( manager) and Nick also supervisor or manager and staff were all amazing. But the 3rd party one I tried to rent when I was told they were sold out everywhere for July 1st he's independent on Brighton Rd he has a beer distributor as other side of his business, this guy was a real piece of work he said he didn't have to rent to me after I drove all the way out there. The only thing about north shore location could improve is answering all calls because if I could of got thru on the phone I wouldn't have went thru that unpleasant experience but since I was coming from the 3rd party one it was 100 Brighton Rd I had to pass the one I usually deal with in the north shore they were booked solid but still fit me in and I'm very appreciative of that. The facility was very clean and convenient the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because there are giant polls in the middle of some units. I had the smallest unit for 75$ a month and the 1st one I had had a huge pole in it. The staff changed it for me after a couple weeks though, so I'm grateful for that. After I was falsely reserved a unit at a different facility online, I was told this facility was the only one available after I showed up to the originally reserved unit with a full truckload to store… This unit is a good distance away from my intended unit, making it inconvenient to use as needed and desired. Plus, I still had to pay for the extra miles that were put on the uhaul truck rental… which, looked, smelled, and felt like it was not cleaned or sanitized for a couple of years (should not be the case during a pandemic…). This all happened after I was sent to the wrong facility to pick up supplies. Luckily that location had what I requested, but I purchased and opened a lock that was not needed, because the unit I was eventually sent to had free locks… Overall, I will try my best to not use or recommend uhaul moving forward.Nathan P. | Online Move In
