The original pick-up location was not made clear. We arrived at the Salem Ave. store and were told to go to the E. Third St. store. As we started to leave the parking lot an employee ran out and told us that the trailer would be at the Linden Ave. store. Thankfully he caught us before we got out of the parking lot. The rest of the experience was fine.

We needed to fasten special rails to mount bicycles into the trailer to travel 1000+ miles with $$$ bikes. The agent made sure that we had the proper equipment, even let us test a new design before pick-up to insure everything worked. Very pleased with staff and service.

I wasn't told the fuel level was at 7/8, didn't notice it until on my way. I've always assumed the trucks needed to be returned with a full tank- so that caused a little unnecessary stress. But was very pleased with the truck- was low mileage and in excellent condition.

I was told that I could drop off the truck at a UHaul closer to my new home and I was misinformed. Then I got charged for gas and they didn't even fill the truck up. We will never use this location again! And by the way, stupidest place ever to put the damn lockbox for the keys!

The crew at the Dayton facility couldn't deliver my boxes on time, and called me 4 hours before they were supposed to be delivered to tell me after my husband took the day off of work to help facilitate the arrival of our boxes. There were 6 so I wanted to be sure it went smoothly. The manager Matt told me that the boxes wouldn't be able to be delivered that day and he wasn't even sure when they would be able to be delivered. He said “maybe Sunday or Monday”. Well me and my husband and 2 year old son didn't have that long to wait because we needed to sleep in our home and don't have money for a hotel. U-Haul said they would pay for a 26 foot truck so I could pick up my stuff from the boxes at their Dayton facility and they would also help cover the additional expense of my movers. The move took 3 times as long, cost me three times as much in moving expenses, and was a huge stresser and waste of my time. On top of that, they still have not reimbursed me for the 26 foot truck like they said they would or the moving expenses. Total bullshit company.

The whole staff was very helpful. As we were hooking up the trailer one of the guys noticed a problem with one of the tires and we immediately swapped out trailers So glad they noticed before we started our 2300 mile trip. Thanks

The main that put the straps on my car didn't maker sure they were secure enough. I had to call roadside assistance to come put them on right in Oakwood, Illinois rest area on route 74. They used electrical tape to put the lens back on the tow light. I watched them do it. They couldn't wait to get back in the building instead of giving me advice on driving wita tow. I am a 59 year old single woman.

When receiving returning equipment, the staff should have some U-Haul identification and/or accept the receiving of the equipment in an official way.

The staff made me load my own equipment into the truck. He basically came out the front door and gave me my dolly and furniture dolly and pointed me the way to the truck. I would think this is something your staff would be responsible for doing. Every time in the past I've never been treated this way. Just wanted you to know so that you can improve your customer service.

I reserved a truck went in and there was a truck in the parking lot. Turns out that person wasn't returning the truck. I reserved days in advance but did not get notified of the other persons extension so I could make a reservation somewhere else. It made things more difficult and affected my project because I couldn't get all the materials in the van. I've never rented with UHaul but won't be again. The front desk people looked but it's a very frustrating experience.

I was given a truck on 1/8 of a tank of gas. I was told I needed to fill it up myself and that I would be refunded for the gas I did not use. According to the drop off location personnel, this is not true. All I receive do was a $10 off fee, but is essentially nothing with $5 per gallon.

I talked to the agent about possible excessive amount of play at the hitch and ball. It seem to have had a some side to side and front to back. I'm not sure if the new drop and lock( new to me) this might be normal. Other than that I had a very good experience with the trailer and staff. I also had a hitch installed there a few days earlier. The truck I rented was rough, it ran rough the cab was extremely hot when driving and running the A/C didn't cool it down at all. The engine struggled and was very loud. It seemed like it desperately need a tune up and basic maintenance

Convenient location. Return parking was limited due to other returns. Using the Uhaul online return is very helpful.

My biggest issue is I called customer service to change the drop off location I was on hold for 45 minutes and never got to speak to a customer service person. Then when I went to drop off the address was incorrect it took me to a abandoned building. Not cool. Your customer service recording kept telling me I could change my reservation online but you can't. Very poor service

Can't rate the dealer at this time. They haven't done the install yet. Your u-haul web site is terrible. So is your 800 number for support. I was on phone for over a hour. Support People couldn't help and transfer me to another support person three times. Still can't access my install reservation online.

The trailer had a broken light, which I pointed out to the attendant. He did give me the option of another trailer but pushed the light back into place and insisted it would hold. It was out again after my 2 mile drive home. I had to call for roadside assistance.

The truck looked like all the other trucks I've rented before, but it drove pretty rough. The alignment is very off, almost to a dangerous level when driving through tight streets. I usually feel pretty safe in uhaul trucks but this one felt a like the wheels would pop off if I wasn't extremely careful and gentle. I got two blocks away and pulled over and signed up for uhaul insurance coverage on my phone, as I wasn't going to be blamed if something did happen, to no fault of my own. Got the job done, this one ride likely won't cancel out all the great ones I've had before, so just use it as an FYI.

the person that helped me appeared high on something and had no sense of urgency! my online reservation was lost. i was moving due to a physical toxic environment and this interaction just drug the process on more than it needed to! he also did not go over the contract with me or explain anything about fuel, either

Said I had moved out of the unit but I didn't I had to come to the office to get it straightened.I asked the clerk to consider a month's free rent for the trouble,gas had to pay for a ride, and the overall hassle of making a new account, etc. She called the manager and he said to me that he was going to honor free rent...he lied.

The restrooms were dirty and no toilet paper and paper towels. I had two units and one of my units didn’t have a payment method attached, so I got charged a late fee. Then, it took me driving their after two weeks of moving out of my units to close my accounts so I wouldn’t get charged for another month.

In the beginning we were extremely happy with the facility. We had no problem when our rate was raised from 54.99 to 59.99. We were annoyed at the immediate almost unstable $5 increase to 64.99. When the rate eventually increased to 79.99 for a 5x10x10 we were very dissatisfied. we were told the increase was not to keep people like us out, but to keep the riff faff out.

We were there on Thursday July 2 to check and see about placing a few of our boxes.. We were "yelled" at since it was already after 6 pm and we had not done "all the paperwork" yet. The store was open until 7. We had reserved the unit for Thursday, July 2. Since the unit had also "not been cleaned," we agreed to come back on Friday July 3. When we arrived the next morning, the unit had STILL not been swept and mopped. So the unit was WET when it was turned over to us. Cardboard and wet floors do not make a good mix. Our time was wasted waiting for the unit to be cleaned and the floor to dry so we could place our boxes in the unit. The unit should have been cleaned in a timely manner, maybe Wednesday? Thursday morning?

I didn’t appreciate UHaul raising the rates without giving me a notice, and time to decide if I accepted it. Also didn’t appreciate the no pro rate time. If I don’t use an entire month I shouldn’t be charged for it. I’ll never use UHaul for anything else ever again. You Lost a customer for life. I also will not recommend you to anyone.
