Rented a trailer for two days, but due to family circumstances, had to return it four hours after taking it. Uhaul doesn't care, they charge you for one day. So I wasted $20 for four hours of sitting in my driveway. Uhaul sucks

The key to the truck was difficult to get in and out of the ignition switch, and the seatbelt alarm continued to sound even when all belts were fastened and locked. overall it was great, the people did a great job. would like to use again if need be.

Overall, I had a good experience with the u-haul van. But the people at the u-haul rental office totally underestimated the mileage for my trip, so I ended up paying $150 more than I expected. When I returned to Ohio, I took the van to my house to clean it out before returning it and somehow locked the keys in the van (the van seem to lock itself). I called the number on the side of van hoping to talk to get someone at the location I rented from but I got a national u-haul number. This person told me I need to pay for a locksmith to come out and open the door. The locksmith came out but he wasn't sure he was going to get in this new van. So I found the u-haul 1-800 roadside assistance number and called it to see what could be done since the locksmith was having so much trouble. The roadside assistance said to was covered under the $50 policy I took out and they would send someone out for free. They told me to send the locksmith away. Locksmith was determined to open it because if he didn't get it open, he wouldn't get paid. The locksmith succeeded just as the roadside assistance guy showed up. I paid the locksmith and send the roadside assistance guy away. Then I got a phone call asking if the roadside assistance guy had showed up, I said he had but he needed and because of the wrong information I received from my first phone call, I was now out $75 for the locksmith. The lady on the phone told me to bring my receipt to the rental location and most likely they would reimburse me the money. I spoke to the manager there twice and he said he would look into it and get back to me. I am still waiting to hear from him. It is unlikely I will get my money because he said that u-haul is not responsible while someone locks the key in the vehicle because it was my mistake (even those u-haul representatives on the phone said these vehicles were under warranty and therefore it was covered.) It is so frustrating when the u-haul local location manager is saying one thing and the national u-haul folks are saying something different. They should get their story straight and ideally pay me for the locksmith's services.

The previous renter of the truck I received had a dog in it at some point. There was a good bit of dog hair and dander on the passenger seat as well as a pretty dirty windshield. (Inside) Other than that, it was perfect.

I picked up the truck early because it was convenient. Needed it for 2 days. I was one hour over 48 hours and was charged an extra day. When I was returning the truck...waited for 15 minutes at the return truck area and no one came out as the sign said they would. I had to go in the store. There was only one customer on the property besides myself. They came out a few minutes later. Not great customer service experience.

Never gave me an updated pickup address, was sent to wrong location. Did no inspection or walk through of vehicle. Did not show me where the truck was had to search for 10 minutes to find the correct vehicle. I've used uhaul many times before and I most likely never will again after this.

This was an "average" experience as a result of not having the same truck available that I reserved online. I was not notified within an hour of reserving online either, and I had to call a customer service number to find out my pickup time. It wasn't until I visited the store that I discovered my truck size was being downgraded, since the one I reserved online was not available. Obviously, some of this is not the store's fault, which is why I gave an "Average" rating as opposed to "Poor" or "Below average", which is how I would rate the overall experience here. I will seriously question making a reservation online the next time I decide to reserve a Uhaul truck.

Customer service was severely lacking. I have a moving dolly and furniture pads of my own and relayed that I would not need any from uhaul. However, upon inspecting my truck I discovered that there was a dolly and pads zip tied inside the truck (obviously there in case someone did need them and they could just break the seal). No problem, I just went back inside to let them know so they could take them off the truck. To my dismay I was told that they couldn't take them off the truck. When I asked why, the reply was that they have been lost when that had happened in the past. Seeing as how they could only be lost by the store themselves since that's where they would be getting removed, I failed to see how this would be a customer issue. When I explained this and the fact that when I selected a certain size truck it is with the expectation that I get that size truck and not be restricted by equipment inside that I have no intention of using. The response to that was simply that it's uhaul policy not to remove the equipment. Even if this is the case (which if it is I think it is something that sorely needs to be revisited) the manner in which it was explained and the dismissiveness of the attendant will ensure that I never use uhaul services again. Thank you for your time.
