I checked in online â€œ for faster serviceâ€ and waited almost 40 minutes while one agent helped 2 others then me. The computer had a glitch , requiring my credit card to go through 3 times. Agent said â€œ just check your statement to make sure you weren't overcharged. He could not provide voided sales. ASI checked over the van everything was okay except when I turned the key on â€œOil change requiredâ€.. I had to get out , mention this to the staff who saidâ€ it's okay I just forgot to reset it. I arrived at 0900 and left at 0950. Not a good first impression and no apology for taking so long.Judith K.

Passenger side mirror was extremely loose so it wouldn't stay in place...meaning I couldn't clear myself on my right side for the duration of the drive. Then when I returned the truck and complained, the employee didn't seem surprised and actually acknowledged that he KNEW the mirror was like this! So dangerous. Finally, they billed me for a furniture blanket when we didn't even use any. Such a disappointing experience.Alison K.

Previous renter 8' Chevy pick up truck did not clean bed. It still had gravel embedded in liner; next gas reading was slightly below 1/2 full line, but contract said it was 1/2 full. I cleaned bed and filled above 1/2 line because I'm an excellent customer. If you want to give me a complimentary rental in return, I would think that's fair. Thank youDouglas F.

When I reserved truck the Salem MA location did not have the truck I needed for the one-way trip. Reserved truck in the next town Lynn, MA. Day of rental, drive to Lynn and the truck wasn't there. It's was located in Salem!!! Upon return to Salem, the truck was there but the carts and dollys I had reserved/requested where not there. Ended up buying furniture dollys to aid the move.David F.

When we arrived our truck was stuck behind many others so it took a long time to access. There was one person working inside with an extremely long line. We lost 45 minutes of our reservation waiting for the keysRyan C.
One person working on a Saturday morning. Waited in line for over an hour to pick up my reserved truck. There where customers waiting to access self storage, get propane and return trucks. I'm sure my review will not be the only negative one from this day. The one person helping customers was overwhelmed as he continued to try to get the manager on the phone. Customers using the online check in system where having to move trucks themselves to get to the truck they actually rented. The manager of this location should be ashamed leaving one person to work on a weekend.Brian A.

The man who was helping me had his mask below his chin most of the time, he had a runny nose and kept wiping his face. It felt very unsanitary and unsafe to be passing him my license and him passing me the keys. Please do some tuning about this issue, there's a pandemic for gods sake.Kelsey G.

We had a wonderful experience! The weather wasn't looking too great for the day of the move, so we were able to push our reservation time back the night before we were scheduled to pick up the truck. Having never rented a U Haul before, the staff were great and explained everything we needed to know. The truck was clean and easy to drive (although a bit intimidating to drive at first, haha), and the drop off was quick and easy. Would highly recommend renting from this location!Doneeca T.

The representative/assisting manager was nice, relaxed, and affable. I was free to ask questions, he gave me many details, too. However, he was a little work-shy. I approached him outside of the store and asked him about the rental's gas capacity and he said that the information would be hard to get. Truck did not have a working heater/ac fan so there was no heat when it was in the 20-30's degrees outside. It also had a physically broken windshield wiper which made it very hard in the rain. Both me it very very hard to drive with the window fogging up too and no way to clear it other than with a hand.Bryan C.

Hello, The manager at the Salem Ma. Jefferson Road Uhaul store was wonderful to work with - professional, kind and efficient. He made my Uhaul experience outstanding. I'm sorry that I didn't get his name. I was at the store on Wednesday afternoon/evening. 12-30-20. I rented a van for a short time. Thank you very much. My daughter returned the truck with more gas than what was given to us. The manager was no where to be found when I dropped the truck off. I asked the man at the desk for a paper receipt he kept calling Manager Rosebert Chery finally he showed up hopped out a silver SUV behind the building. He proceeded to tell my daughter we damaged the truck. There was no scratch marks no wiped off dirt where he claimed I damaged the truck. My daughter called my me and I came to the location with the movers as well. He continued to say we damaged the truck. He said it wasn't there before and I said you didn't do your walk thru with us. All of a sudden a woman hops out the silver SUV and starts yelling at us ready to fight us. My daughter says who are you she says I'm his(manager) girlfriend and continues to yell at us the Manger is holding back his girl from charging at us. I pointed out the claim sticker where he said we damaged the truck and the quick fix glue that was on the truck. Once he realized I knew this was a previous damage due to the claim sticker he left the location with his girlfriend. I am getting charged for damage I didn't do. Do your managers make extra commission for finding damage to the trucks. And why is his girlfriend on the job with him yelling at the customers. I'm going to fight this, I already reached out to a lawyer regarding this matter. Worst experience ever.Christine D.

Windshield washer did not work. This location obviously does not properly inspect its vehicles prior to renting. This was potentially a dangerous situation while I used the truck. I have my doubts this location follows the CDC compliance requirements for COVID prevention.Richard F.

Renting this storage unit from Uhaul has been among the worst decisions I have made. It was nothing but a huge pain to deal with from beginning to endJared D. | Overall Experience
My problem was with the sales rep on the phone. She didn't realize that the storage box on the second level had access only by a stairs/ladder. It was very difficult to get into, pipes in the ceiling and a difficult angle. I wouldn't have been able to manage if my son didn't tag along last minute. My storage unit looks like it might be the runt of the litter, but it gets the job done. The storage unit door does not have the U-Haul logo and painted number as the rest of them do, so it seemed like maybe I got the trash pick.
