I used the mobile app to rent the moving vehicle i needed. everything was going well until i was just about to leave the U-Haul store with the rented vehicle. A U-Haul representative came to my vehicle and said that I had to get another truck to rent. I was told there was an error with the mobile app. I wasn't happy. I had to go into the U-Haul store and go thru the whole process of getting another rental. I did final get a truck. This made my day just more stressful than needed.

A 3rd employee to run the desk would make it more efficient for the employees. But it was smooth and easy, in spite of the place being very busy for 2 employees.

The site was a very busy one. There were several customers on hand awaiting service and apparently only one person to take care of us all. The man who was there was however very efficient and focused on each person in turn. His manner was friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good experience. The greatest improvement would be to adequately staff the facility.

Parking availability for personal vehicle while renting is limited. There is street parking in the area, but still.. more parking at facility would be preferred

had to wait a very long time. two customers ahead of me. took a very long time to get service. one person working there. about three people waiting there when I returned vehicle. wasn't clear about where to park vehicle.

I specifically chose to "reimburse Uhaul immediately" on the website and then accidentally proceeded to initiate the self-checkout while I still home. This caused some confusion at the location where they made me resign at the location and canceled my self-checkout. Somehow the CDW got added back to my contract through I declined it online and was charged $30.00 accordingly. I'd like to see this money refunded.

I was running a little late and i got an angry message from the man at uhaul saying that i was late and when i got there the uhaul truck that i reserved probably wont be there. I had the truck reserved for 3 hours and i understood that i was only going to have the truck for the remaining time. I didnt really appreciate the angry message from him considering when i got there, there were 6 trucks in the lot so i didnt understand why he was saying that if there were other trucks that could be rented why was mine the one that would be sold since i had reserved it. A nicer reminder message would have been much more appreciated. Poor customer service

It didn't occur to me to ask to get a truck that no one had previously smoked in. The truck I used had clearly been smoked in before. The 19.95 rental is also pretty deceptive since added insurance and mileage costs add up quickly. I spend 100 going between cities not more than 10 miles away and had the truck only for 4 hours. Beyond that it was easy, service fine and I got the job done.

I have nothing bad to say for the Wilmington/Salem locations, but the online rental process was AWFUL. When making the reservation I was prompted to return the truck to Danvers for a $20 cheaper rental cost, which I naturally agreed to and finished my reservation. It wasn't until I returned the truck to Danvers when I was told by the staff there who were working on a sudoku book and watching youtube on their iphones that they don't accept equipment drop-offs. Well, the paperwork I had said "Danvers" and the rental process led me to believe I should be dropping it off there. I found out I had to call the reseveration hotline when I got to Danvers so that I could find a location to drop it off to, which ended up being 40 minutes away in Salem. I had already driven 15 minutes to get to Danvers, was met by unhelpful and unprofessional people working the desk, and found out I had another hour and a half to drive round trip because Uhaul told me to drive to Danvers and then call to coordinate a drop-off elsewhere... WHAT KIND OF TERRIBLE RENTAL PROCESS WOULD ALLOW THAT? I was moments away from leaving the keys and truck in Danvers for Uhaul since I had fulfilled my end of the rental agreement and brought it back to the Uhaul location in Danvers per the rental agreement. I knew if I did that I would get charged some fee or be met with bigger issues than if I just accepted the bitter pill and fixed the issue that Uhaul created. This was a miserable experience and I'd really recommend fixing your online process.
