I was lucky, getting there upon opening this AM. Kyle was the ONLY person working. By the time my trailer was hooked up, 7 or 8 people were waiting in line. Returning the trailer this afternoon, he was still alone. Absolutely inexcusable, providing such poor service to others. I also didn't like the late 9AM opening time. Should be earlier.

I've been a long-time customer of this particular U-Haul over the years not regularly but more than the average person. The last two times I've been there, I have by far exceeded my expectations. They always seem to be very understaffed. The difference is, now the man they have now seems to be able to handle it better.

When I picked up the truck in the morning, the u-Haul representative was very professional and very helpful. He told me that since I had reserved two dozen furniture pads, that I would only be charged for the bags that were opened when I returned. When I did return, I had only opened one dozen so I had 2 bags that I should not have been charge for. The man who checked me back in refused to acknowledge what the previous representative told me. Even worse, both of the return vehicle lanes were backed up all the way to the street, so I pulled my 26 foot truck into the only place that I could fit the vehicle. There were other customers parked in the parking lot as well. When the attendant came out, he told me that I had to move my truck and that if I did not he would not consider me checked in. It was not my fault that he and the other individuals on duty had not kept up with all of the return trucks.

The worst experience I have ever had with a UHAUL facility. Confirmed my trailer via online and also called customer service to verify the day of pickup as well. I had to travel from Georgetown ma to Salem ma because they told me my original Uhaul trailer wasn't in Byfield ma anymore. After confirming that it was in Salem that morning on the phone with agent I drove from Georgetown to Salem Ma and the trailer size I needed was not there! It made my move difficult and many of my business associates who were helping with my company move realize that they will never deal with Uhaul if they want the correct equipment and customer service personnel to move.

Everything was great until we tried to return the vehicle. The person at the counter refused to help us ( or the other people waiting) because he was "waiting for a phone all". He allowed 4 customers to just stand there while he sat by the phone doing nothing. I am sure that this terrible employees name is on our receipt and should be moved away from any customer service position.

They made an extremely frustrating experience much more barable. I made a reservation originally at a different location. That location didn't even rent out the size truck we reserved. So we got to that location and were told tough luck. We had to call traffic. After assisting me they hang up on me before I could ask another question. They people at the Salem location were very helpful.

This location was fine. The manager was great. I had ordered a 10' truck, but had wanted a van (there weren't any available when I ordered online), but when I arrived to pick up the truck I saw a few vans on the lot. I asked the manager if I could rent one of them and he said "yes" so all worked out fine. After hours drop off is excellent!

Our truck was a complete piece of crap. Had to drive it for over 2000 miles, with wheels vibrating the whole way, Awful truck, had over 100,000 miles on it as well.

I was originally just frustrated because I was told to park my car in the uhaul parking lot but when I went to drop the uhaul off and pick up my car I was blocked in. I get it, out of your control where customers park returned cars. Frustrating on my part because I had to drive the uhaul back to my apartment and turn around and drive it back in the morning out of my way putting additional mileage on the rental. When I addressed the man at uhaul I was told that was my fault and it's park at your own risk. That would be understandable if that were stated anywhere. A sign hanging up, in the contract, stated by the man who told me to move my car and park in the parking lot (I had originally parked my car elsewhere). But instead I got poor customer service. Simply a "sorry" would have worked for me but the guy was rude and not willing to listen to me. I called and the woman hung up on me. All I wanted was an apology for the inconvienve. Now though I'm pissed. What a scam this is. I honestly just wish I would've known that I was risking getting blocked in. So thank you for taking my money, charging me more for mikes I didn't want to drive, my time and the poor customer service. I am only one person so this complaint probably won't make a difference but I personally will never use uhaul again because of the lack of communication; for a large successful business I expected more. Most upset with the way things were handled by your employees.

Online check in was terrible. I did it 5 times. Ended going to the counter. Will never do it again. Terrible system. Took 4-5 longer than going to the counter. I am a frequent renter for my business. Now I will second guess using haul again!!!!!!!
