They called me as though I didn't return the dolly that I rented. I returned the dolly leas than an hour after I rented it by following the guy that works there, his directions. He told me to return it to the back of the equipment return garage. When I returned it I stood there for a minute and Finn ally got someone's attention. I rented movers through the website and there were no instructions on how to do this. The movers required the confirmation code to start moving little did I know this released the funds for the movers. Additionally, they ripped my couth and broke multiple items in the move. They also had a mover show up high and he had to be escorted off the premises. They left me mid-move and packed my storage unit dangerously. I had to reorganize the storage unit and finish the move by myself. This was an awful experience. As I attempt to file a claim although Uhaul promotes the service they do not help you with the claim at all and leave you to try and get the funds back from the individual movers.Brisa R. | First Impressions

The truck was dirty insideâ€¦.the rental equipment I reserved was not available and I was told to go to a different location. I was given a 50$ credit for the inconvenience, but I'd rather things be at one location. The staff at the Bridgeport location were rude and not knowledgeable about the equipment specifically the car tow. A male staff member made it his point to walk away as another female staff member tried to help with the assembly of the car tow.Bene S.

I stored my belongs in clean containers. When I went to retrieve them every item was covered in dirt and plaster dust and some with plaster putty/ caulk. Whatever it was. No consideration was taken by management or whatever company they hired to do whatever work was done to cover the tops of our stoarge units which were open. I had to drive to three different uhaul locations to find somewhere to drop off the uhaul. Many of the places did not answer the phone when I called in advance, and they did but have voicemail boxes set up. When vehicle was received, i documented that gas was about 2 clicks below the 3/4 mark. i returned the vehicle with more gas then provided and was charged 21 dollars fee (20 dollars for service and 1 dollar for gas) because i didn't fill it all the way up to 3/4 mark.Tzu N.

I did not interact directly with the warehouse in Chicago so just gave "Average" rating for them (the Moving Help people did). Pickup in Chicago and delivery in Ojai CA were both done very professionally and on time, and all our goods arrived in excellent condition - nothing broken! I received only 12 furniture pads instead of 24 in Chicago. Also, it would be very helpful if U-Haul provided tracking/updates when a U-Box is in-transit to reassure me that it will arrive on time. I was a customer for 10 years while living mostly out of state. The communication between this facility and myself was top notch over the last decade. The staff was extremely helpful and nice when I finally came back to clear my unit. The storage area was much nicer and the security was upgraded since I last step foot here. I was given a unit on the 2 floor that wasn’t clean and had a fairly large rat trap in it. The uhaul representative was working the front desk alone, so she was unable to show the unit. I received the first month free with my uhaul truck purchase, so she just processed the reservation and gave me directions to get to the unit. After seeing the unit, I immediately wanted to cancel. The storage facility was newly constructed, well equipped and maintained professionally.
