My first trailer rental ever and went really well despite unforeseen hiccups. Sunny was excellent and noticed slightly flat back tire on my car. He found the screw nail that was causing flat and was able to arrange the repair in less than half an hour. Both the general manager and Sunny were also able to get me set up and on my way with correct adapter. Trailer was perfect size and worked well for my needs. Had a decent experience with my unit while being there, but first getting it we had a horrible experience. First of all—I was told that there was the size I wanted and that for sure it was there when I came back to move my stuff in… and then I came back another day and there wasn’t any of the size I wanted. I had to get a bigger unit and pay way more which I wasn’t impressed with whatsoever… but I didn’t have a choice. Also along with the inconvenience every time I was in the store waiting to talk to people—the wait time was ridiculous and honestly the staff were slow with doing things. Reached 7.45 am and left the location 9.15 am. There was only one person on the counter and 12 people lined up. I ask for more counter to open and got yellied from the lady and the yard person. Waited over 30 mins to speak to someone who told me I won't get a ticket if I parked on Northland and moved my car before midnight as there is no customer parking on the compound. I ended up needing equipment after I got my rental contract and was told I would have to wait in line again because there was only one service representative. Left the equipment behind because there was over 5 people in line and each transaction took over 10 minutes. I parked on Northland as told by the representative and got a $50 ticket at 6 pm. The equipment was also terrible, no reverse camera as I have had in other uhaul trucks, and lights within the truck kept flickering on and off. Returning the truck, the lot was full beyond its limit and it was difficult to pull in to find a spot. I was also charged double the amount for "safemove" that I paid on my last Uhaul. Would not recommend this location to anyone and I will be reaching out to customer service for reimbursement on the ticket I recieved although the representative assured me and the customer before me that it was okay to park there.MARWANJOSEPH H.

The yard staff working Wednesday morning, September 1, at this location need to be dealt with by management or corporate. Another one, around 4 pm, needs to learn how to handle customers rather than get into shouting matches with them. They were horrendous and failed in every aspect to meet the needs of the U-haul customer. I would be embarrassed as a manager to have these people working for me. Our truck was blocked in and the yard staff refused to move the pickup truck so that I could leave, this on top of the fact that your 24/7 app is a false claim led to an absolutely horrible experience with us losing more than an hour of time on a day when we did not have a second to spare. You should not be advertising that your trucks are available 24/7, I got to the location at 6:40 am for a 6:30 pickup, my apologies I was late, but when the app finally worked, it took nearly a half hour to do so, the key was behind the front desk the whole time and the truck was blocked in. There was no chance I could have gotten it at 630 EVEN THOUGH I WAS PROMISED A TRUCK AT 630. Our move went smoothly, except U-haul, the staff at this location purposefully caused a massive delay for us. I will be escalating this first to the location manager and then whomever I need to in order to get just compensation. Did I mention when I pulled out of the late, an hour plus late, the fuel was below 1/8th and the gas warning came on shortly after. Just an absolutely disgraceful service, I am ashamed to say that I paid money to this company. This location should be embarrassed.Marc A.
The online reservation system allows you to book a U-Box pick-up for the opening hours however, U-Box service is only available between 8AM and 4PM. M-S and 10AM-3PM Sunday. This needs to be corrected as I spent 90min awaiting my U-Box, even though a representative called the day before and confirmed it would be ready at 7AMJames M.
Work on your mobile pickup. I submitted all this info when I reserved the truck. Then I needed the exact same info when I went to pick up the truck. Then after spending twenty min in my car resubmitting driver info etc, it still needed me to go in line and pick up the keys. There must have been twenty people ahead of me. I waited in line over an hour and got my van at 11:30. Dropping the van off was hectic. The parking lot is too small for the volume. The disinfecting operation at the front of the store is not the best location: there is plenty of room out back. I peaked inside the door and there was still a lineup for an hour late in the afternoon. Equipment was in good shape. Customer check in experience was great. But this location is too congested for truck rental. It was extremely challenging to take the 15ft truck out of the back parking lot due to several obstacles in the way. And same for returning the truck... couldn't find anywhere to park the truck for return! Sonny was very kind as he took over the manoeuvring of the truck to find a temporary parking slot. Our experience with this storage and staff was great and I would probably give it all 5 stars and rave reviews if it wasn't for the unfortunate ending. We came yesterday to empty our storage since it was no longer needed. When the elevator door opened small dishaveled man carring plastic bag came out. Some liquid was trickling down from that bag and when we entered the elevator small puddle of brownish liquid was on the elevator floor.The stench was unbearable!!!! It smelled like stale urin. Awful!!! I have told two staff members about it. I believe one staff member told the small disheveled man to pick up that stinky plastic bag which he just left by the automatic door of the storage facility entrance. I've only ever had great experiences with your staff. In fact, when I closed my account with you I had the most lovely person help me do this. However, I brought my stuff home and I found many dead cockroaches in my boxes. I have never ever had cockroaches so this was distressing and made me worry that some had crept into boxes and would infest my home. As I'm sure you can imagine this was very unsettling. Our unit was recently affected due to the flood in the facility. We did appreciate receiving a phone call from the front office to check for damage. Based on the watermarks on our items, there was at least a foot of water in our unit. We paid for the additional insurance provided as an option by U-Haul and were encouraged by the front office to file a claim. We filed a claim and it was immediately denied because U-Haul told the insurer the flood was caused by the city sewers overflowing and this was not covered by the insurer. Did U-Haul file a claim with the city if this in fact was the cause of the flood? Did U-Haul offer to pass on any compensation received from the city to those tenants affected? Did U-Haul offer any compensation for our inconvenience and time clearing out the unit, throwing out hundreds of dollars worth of property and trying to salvage what we could? (but honestly, we didn't know what was in that water...) No follow up from U-Haul at all. Basically we paid for additional insurance (again offered by U-Haul) which isn't covering any of our losses. It seems like the customers are the ones out of pocket from this and we had no recourse but to stop using the facility altogether.AdamGail W. | Overall Experience

Someone tried to break into my unit!!! Someone tried to cut through the metal latch. They didn’t get through all the way thankfully. But I couldn’t get into my own unit because they broke it so bad. Staff on site were helpful in helping me get into my own unit with tools. But there is definitely a serious security flaw at this facility if stuff like this can happen. Would not recommend this facility due to this poor security. And is anyone going back to look at the video footage of someone trying to break into my unit? Should a police report be filed? The person who checked me in was very nice and patient. She gave very clear instructions to access the facility (down to which parking bay was best for the truck I rented). The dollies were super convenient and appreciated. The place felt very clean and well cared for and the floors were so smooth for moving dollies - really great. Only one point of feedback: The elevator door closes as soon as you exit, which was difficult for us moving the dolly into the elevator as it closed on us a few times. Would be better if the door waited a little before closing. Also it would be nice to have another elevator for busier days so there is less waiting, but that is a smaller detail. Upon initial move in, the area of use in the storage unit did not meet the advised dimensions because of the fire sprinkler pipe running through the unit. We were forced to upgrade to something 3x the price to offload our items. This was unfortunate, but the manager Tanya was very patient and responsive when addressing my concerns. I greatly appreciated her time and effort to provide me solutions that worked for my needs. I ended up cancelling my storage, but not for lack of service.Taelor A. | Overall Experience

Also, I am not super keen on having a space that requires using stairs to access above someone else's space, but I managed. Hasty market took 30 minutes to give me the keys and return the car. There is only 1 car in the parking lot. Spending an hour waiting in a convenience store when it's completely empty doesn't make much sense to me. Especially when he had my ID and credit card the entire time. Was he stealing my identity? I have no idea. As well, the code at Weston Road didn't work so I had to back to the office 3 times. I don't get how the code wouldn't work to get in the storage unit.Paul H. | First Impressions
It was my first time moving into self storage, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised at this location. Purchasing, check in, and access was simple and secure both for pedestrian and cars (you can pull right into a covered loading dock for self storage). I purchased a climate controlled locker and was surprised how clean and well lit the facility was. Although my unit was on the 2nd floor, the elevator worked smoothly and there were wheeled carts available to borrow. I was impressed to find a poison control box in my storage unit too. I enjoyed how the entrance to self storage is located close to the front, rather than the back of other self storage facilities I've seen. The only small inconvenience were the steps / ledge at the loading dock for smaller/van-sized vehicles. There was not a lot of room to move large furniture and it required lifting from the van to the ledge at chest level. More room and a ramp would have been ideal, but with 2 or more people it is not a problem. Although there was a bit of a wait (Sunday) the day I moved in, all representatives were very pleasant and helpful, and the general manager was accommodating when I requested a unit on a lower floor. They were also helpful when I was unsure about what size storage locker to purchase. All in all, I had a very positive experience and an optimistic about leaving my personal belongings at this facility.Patricia P. | First Impressions

Had to wait everytime I wanted to speak to the staff. No sense of urgency. The disc lock sold by uhaul broke with the key on falling to the ground, was not compensated for the same. While checking out, had to wait for almost 25 minutes to get the representative to give me the clearance. I was emailed asking to pay for the next month even after checking out. I am 6' 1" and because of a structural column, the entrance to our compartment is about 5" on a higher level, so I climb the steps, and smashed my head against the door. There should be a warning on the door, watch your head, especially because the compartments on either side have normal height doors. I went home with my face covered in blood. Every time we went to your location he was working extremely hard and seemed to be working 2 or 3 jobs at the same time. Though trollies were readily available. Most definitely non acceptable customer service experience. UHaul representative was unable to provide sufficient service knowing system was down. Alternative support was poorly handled, when had access in hand to provide the help needed. In future, would never recommend working with this storage facility, though was dismayed having trusted uhaul MANY times in the past! First time storage user, this too, having declared not an avid online user, were treated as deeming an inconvenience having to aid in the first place.
