I rented a storage unit from them and could not get my card to work and they helped me and rest it for me and walked outside with me to make sure it worked and even opened the door. Everyone was really nice

The following is in regard to the U-Haul company elsewhere and in general, as the employees at Towne East had no idea I was coming, because nobody had bothered to let them know. U-Haul let their employees at Towne East down as much as me, which speaks volumes about the culture of this company Please make some effort to Inform customers of their pick-up locations. A call was apparently made to me in advance to that effect, but no message was left so I had no way of knowing it had occurred; no voicemail, no email, no nothing. When I initiated advance confirmation- still unaware of the prior half-hearted attempt- there was absolutely no indication that I had been transferred on the telephone line to a different location than I dialed, nor that my preferred pick-up location had been changed. Visiting from another state and absent GPS, this proved to be more of a challenge than I had prepared for in advance, or thought that I had paid for. Interestingly, even the new location, the one I had unknowingly been punted to, had also had to send me elsewhere- Towne East- but that was a matter of resources and logistics, so at least there is some rational and pre-warned explanation, indeed, it renders the previous failure of your company a moot point, as I would have been sent packing regardless. I will never, ever, use U-Haul services or products due to the irresponsible and disinterested nature of your so-called "reservation" system, failure that it is.

Did not have the correct truck that i reserved online and did not do anything to attempt to make it right. Did not even give the $50 guarantee, after it was brought up. Reserved a 26 foot and got stuck with a 20 foot. Returned the truck just a couple minutes past the 24 hour mark due to having to wait for someone to check in the truck. I had to wait in the street to even get into the parling lot. so they charged me 2 days for being late when I was there on their property waiting on them. Very displeased with the service provided and communication at this location.

Get more staff so customers don't have to go looking for someone to help them upon arrival. Also call wait times are terrible at this location. Waited 20 minutes on hold to get help with an issue, and finally hung up. Got help thru online chat instead.

Returned truck after hours. I parked it and did online return but then there was no place to drop key. I had to return next morning and wait for them to open to hand off key which made me late for work.

I felt a little unwelcome as soon as I came through the door. The guy at the counter had an attitude, and didn't seem to care about my experience. On the other hand, when I dropped the truck off, the inspection crew was very nice and customer service oriented. The guy I was with said he had a very similar experience when he previously did business with this location.

Was first set up with a storage unit at Pawnee and Seneca. After an awful experience with the general manager at that store I left and went to Uhaul on Pawnee and Oliver. Luke and the team was AMAZING and I couldn't be happier with their customer service! Thank you so much!

The place was OK, but the overall UHaul experience was not all that great. I had to go WAY out of the way to get a trailer when I drive by one every day. That one was "unavailable" which was extremely frustrating.

Agent was excellent, both at pick-up and drop off. Friendly, well prepared, masked up. Truck was quickly brought to front entrance, easy in and easy out. It would be nice to have some parking available for personal cars for the day, while using the truck.

I have so much to say... I'm gonna elect not to say anything, almost. It was the worst experience I've ever had, seriously. They told me on the phone, 3'ish hours. So I was going to wait. I cant do that, its gonna be 4-6 hours. So I had to spend $20 for uber to take me home. 8 hours later... I have to take another uber back, another $20. So I get there, hes not done, I wait another 1.5 hours... still cant get it done. THEN they wont let me use a u-haul to get home, cause the car is not together, another dude will do in the morning. I HAVE TO FRICKING RENT A TRUCK TO GET HOME! $36... I only live 5 miles away. So ADDITIONAL $76 direct cost my loss because of them, on top of $500 for the install, no discount, no sorry, no nothing!!!!!! 10 hours of down time for me and wasted $76. Im not rich... i am beyond pissed off, mad and cant believe I was treated the way I was.

Manager showed up 30 minutes late after open, so I didn't get in the store till 7:30, pushing back my moving plans. Then even after I called and said I'd be a little late coming back that day (since you pushed back my schedule) and the person on the phone said that's fine, the guy tried to charge me a late fee at when I brought it back maybe 20 or 30 min past when it was due. Terrible customer service

Although my wait was about an hour because the gentleman was the only one working, he provided excellent customer service by apologizing to me for the delay, checking back with me while I was waiting, listening to my concerns and expressing empathy as well.

First of all, the two gentleman who were working at the time are very poor representatives of U-haul. The African American gentleman seemed to be the supervisor. I found him to be charm free. I had come to this location before and he was commenting about how loud my music was. I heard him say, "that loud shit". I ask him what what he was saying and he responded that he was just talking to himself. I decided to go to the U-haul on Lincoln and Woodlawn. Anyway, yesterday his customer service skills and those of his co-worker were subpar to say the least. While he was processing my paperwork he told his subordinate to lock the damn door because, shit, people just keep coming in and he was ready to go. It was 15 minutes to 7:00. He also told his underling to do something l didn't quite understand, some kind of closing duty, I think. The young man responded that he did not give a FUCK!!! And repeated it again and again. As if this were acceptable language in front of me, a customer. I was both offended and taken aback by the manner in which the both of them conducted themselves, completely and totally. To make matters even worse, when I got ready to load my items onto the rental. I couldn't get the lock to open that secured the door on the back of the truck. So I returned the truck and was there when the store opened. The gentleman that open the store was about 10 minutes late and he informed me that it was special hours, for the elderly and the infirm, I assume. I told him I had no knowledge of that and I asked him if he would like me to return at 8:00. He said no, I told him that I was not able to use the truck because I couldn't get the lock to open. I really thought that it was the wrong lock for the key, but he was able to open it with ease. So I guess the fault with that lies with me. He told me that would still be charged, didn't think that was quite right, but I told him whatever, let's just get this over with. He, at least, was professional, though I do feel very strongly that I should not have been charged when all I did was drive it home, was not able to use it for the purpose for which I rented it. I feel as though I should be offered a discount or a voucher for another rental and I would like a response from whoever handles these matters. Order was cancelled, then was told they didn't have size of truck I requested so had to go with a smaller truck. Then reservation wasn't met so had to go into store 2 hours Later truck still wasn't ready. Got a $50 refund and then had to pay it back due to miles going over since I didn't have a big enough truck like I had requested.

I was given incorrect information re: the need for reserving a truck. I could've reserved a truck at any time during the several times I was in the store buying boxes, tape, etc. I TRIED to reserve a truck. Man at counter told me that it was first come, first served and I had to be there when they opened. Did that. Went there to be told reservations were required and I was forced to rent a van - - much too small for what I needed so I ended up paying almost $200 due to mileage! Never again will I do business here.

Have Called to file a claim and waiting to see how we are going to resolve the broken tv issue. My son is beyond unhappy. He is still upset about the whole truck being taken illegally and when he discovered the broken tv when we unloaded it just made the situation bad all over again. We did not press charges but would like this resolved. Thank you

The driver-side door squeaked loudly during opening and closing. I shot some WD-40 into the hinges and stop mechanism, and the noise disappeared. This should be checked as a maintenance item between rentals. It would help to give the truck a more professional ambience. Other than that, the truck performed well.

The first individual I spoke with when trying to reserve a row dolly said there wasn't one that would accommodate my needs. He only looked at one model and not all tow dollies available for rent. I placed mat reservation elsewhere. He needs training. When I picked up my dolly there were 2 individuals working. One Caucasian with beard and long hair, the other a black man. Neither wore mask at any time while dealing with customers even though there is signage stating mask are required and Wichita is under mandatory mask usage. Practice what is preached.

Air conditioner of the original truck rented was not working. I had to drive back to the uhaul location and exchange the truck. I got charged an additional day for going 2 hrs over. I was also charged additional miles due to an incorrect estimated original miles. My inconvenience of having to exchange the truck was not taken into consideration.

Check engine light was on. My son-in-law happened to work at Auto Zone, so he did a quick check to find out it was just an O2 sensor. and did not impact our move. But this should have been checked prior to rental. The location also had seriously slow computers which resulted in delay in pickup.

The store representatives were not very friendly or helpful. We asked if there was anything special we needed to know prior to hooking up the vehicle we were going to tow and their comment was ‘no it's pretty easy'. They did not do the pre-Inspection or the vehicle with us but said we could do it online. We had to run a quick errand before we took the truck and when we got back I could not get into the link to do the inspection and the representatives were gone. We dropped the vehicle off at 5:30 in the morning and did the check in online but unfortunately I did not take pictures of the back of the truck and lo and behold I am being charged for damage !!!! We did nothing to damage the vehicle. I have rented MANY trucks and I always bring them back with a full tank and in perfect condition. I am beyond disappointed in my experience with UHAUL and highly doubt I will rent from them again. Certainly not this location!!!

U Box service is brutally slow. It was not prepped prior to arrival. Took over 90 minutes after first communication with staff to prep and depart. U boxes were convenient. End costs were hidden.

My issue was the scheduling. I specifically asked for a unit to store my motorcycle and I was advised that a unit was available. They tried to put me in an upper level, no unit was available.
