New Chevrolet pick up truck was GREAT!!!! Especially since with its improved antenna I was able to get my favorite beloved radio station WYAR FM (a non-profit station from Cousins Island, Yarmouth Maine featuring old recordings from the first half of the 20th century) in AUBURN many miles before I use to get it on the Turnpike around Gray exit!!!! This is a big deal for me since I lost that favorite station when I moved to Lewiston/Auburn and traveling with Uhaul is the only time I get to hear it!!!! THANKS!!!!L L.

My negative experience is not necessarily the employees at this location. It's how your entire company is run. I've used Uhaul more than 4 times in the last 18 months and Uhaul does not care about their customers. Someone should start a company to compete really with you because if they pay attention to customer needs they will put Uhaul out of business. You provide ZERO customer service. Make a reservation at one location and then UHUAL charges the res for a location up to 1.5hrs away with no phone call or $$ off due to inconvenience! This is just about every time I've rented from you. Your company's level of CS is one of the worst I've seen. You do everything you can to get the rental reservation and then try and up sell like no other with extras, etc. Once you have secured the reservation- your service goes out the window.Darrin R.

Do something to restore the availability of equipment in Maine. I was told that "it's all stranded in Canada." TWICE, I was bumped from picking up my trailer, at each of my preferred locations. I was forced to travel to Auburn to pick-up and then return the trailer. At today's gas prices, the additional mileage there and back, out of my way, exceeded the cost of the rental itself. Truck rental conditions are deceiving. Advertised as $20 day but mileage charges can easily increase that by a factor of 5-10. The rental period was only 8 hours, which my bad, I missed when making the reservation. I thought it was for a full day. Overall, not a good value for the money.Daniel C.

You should keep gas gage at full so no one has to guess how much gas they need to add to get it to where it started. And you should make sure to clean the cabs of the trucks - there was coffee/mud/hot cocoa spill all over the middle seat. I didn't mind cause I understand but I imagine that is considered damage to your equipment and I wouldn't want to be charged for it since it was there before I got it.Alexandrya O.

In spite of having the steering wheel freeze up and calling Road side assistance for help to get it turning again, I still OVERWHELMINGLY PREFER THESE CHEVROLET PICKUP TRUCKS much more than the pickups you had before (GMC I think)!!!!! Chevrolet pickups get MUCH BETTER MILEAGE!!!!!!!! You know that counts for a lot now-a-days!!!!!!!! They also drive more comfortably for me as a 5'4â€ senior citizen. I rent one every month. Sorry I'm late answering the survey, but first, I was exhausted from the heavy errands I did with the truck, I rested most of Friday and Saturday instead of reading emails. But what really delayed me was how extremely upset I was, and still am, with the LACK OF 9/11 REMEMBRANCE on SUNDAY, September 11TH THE 21 anniversary of 9/11!!!! Americans once said, â€œNEVER FORGETâ€!! BUT THAT WAS OBVIOUSLY A LIE!!!!! AMERICANS HAVE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!!!!! It is now Tuesday, Sept 13th and I AM STILL FUMING, AND VERY UPSET AT AMERICANS FOR FORGETTING 9/11!!!!! I was shocked!!!!!!!!!!! NO NETWORK TV REMEMBRANCE READINGS AND OBSERVANCES AT ALL!!! One network at, 8:46am, did ring a bell and have a â€œmomentâ€ (only 15 seconds long) then IMMEDIATELY jumped to â€œnewsâ€ hosts giggling over some cook's food, AND continuing to other junk talk and laughter about non-news typical of morning â€œnewsâ€ shows!!! AND NOTHING ELSE ALL DAY ABOUT 9/11 on the NETWORKS!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT until 7:30 pm when 60 Minutes on CBS came on (half an hour late) with a memorial to the OVER 300 FDNY heroes who were killed inside the Twin Towers' collapses while trying to rescue the thousands of civilians still inside!!!!!! I thoroughly understand networks coverage given to Queen Elizabeth's life and plans for her funeral!!! THAT WAS ACCEPTABLE and SHE deserved the coverage!!!!!! BUT.... BUT IGNORING 9/11 WAS UNFORGIVABLE!!!!! THIS YEAR THERE WAS NO OBSERVING THE RINGING OF THE BELLS AND THE READING OF THE 2977 NAMES AS DONE ON PAST ANNIVERSARIES OF 9/11!!!!!! Bing internet home page was the ONLY public remembrance I saw all day before 60 Minutes!!!! It had a row in NYC of flags at half-mast and a link to a SHORT item about 9/11!!! You may not like my ranting; BUT I for one WILL NEVER FORGET 9/11 AND AM FURIOUS THAT MOST AMERICANS, AND THE NETWORKS HAVE FORGOTTEN!!!!!!! The absolute WORST was the PBS's UNFORGIVABLE and totally UNCONSCIONABLE on 9/11, "SEND PBS STATION MONEY CAMPAIGN" with their long list of same old long stupid â€œinfomercialsâ€---- Dr. somebody's diet; ...aging backwards; â€¦better memory;â€¦ pressure point, Susie Orman, etc.; all that regular junk PBS always does to solicit money every few months!!!!!!! It should NEVER have aired its â€œsend moneyâ€ stuff on 9/11!!!!!!!! PBS's had 18 HOURS of soliciting money (all thru the morning when 9/11 remembrance observances should have aired) INSTEAD OF 9/11 OBSERVANCES!!!!!! The fellow who served me was very friendly, and I appreciated that. Couple of observations: -When I got there, the line was slooow moving: long wait. I overheard from those waiting, that before I had gotten there, the line went out the door, and many people just gave up and left, which is unfortunate.(lost revenue, etc) -The checkout process is overall very slow: not sure exactly how it can be sped up however.(entering data is slow...) -The trailer gate pins were very difficult to get in place: badly needed grease, and the gate itself seemed to not completely line up, contributing to the issue. - The friendly fellow told me to "go online & complete the return when I got back". So, I returned the trailer, went home(very exhauted from a long day), and went online to complete the return. I quickly saw that the customer is supposed to scan a barcode at the facility before leaving, to confirm the return. There was no way I was getting dressed again, and driving back... I did take a picture of the trailer when I parked it(thank God), so that helped my cause, but I had to call the 888 number last night,and wait a LONG time to talk to someone.. and I had to call the facility this am to verify the return. If the friendly fellow would have just made sure I understood that I needed to scan the barcode BEFORE leaving, it would have gone smoother. For my part, if the checkout wait time was not so painful, I believe it would be easier to overlook most other things.. Thanks, RichRich G.

The one complaint I have is that there were a significant number of mouse droppings all through my boxes of books. I didn't move the furniture myself and haven't had a chance to look at it, so don't know if there are holes in the cushions. I'll try to get to that soon. I rented a storage unit and had nothing but terrible customer service. I emailed customer service and the corporate email with no responses. Finally on the day I decided to move my belongings to another company, there was a nice lady there and she actually listened to my complaints and took good care of me. The customer service was terrible, the storage unit did not seal well so my items were completely covered in road dirt and I could not access my unit at my leisure because they park their trucks in front of the units. They told me to give them notice. So I went all the way out of my way a few days before I would be there with movers and let them know the day and time I would be there. I was repeatedly promised the trucks would not be there. Sure enough the trucks were there. Went out of my way for nothing. The Manager at that location lacks any and all customer service skills. When I went to my storage unit there were trucks lined up in front of the unit. The customer service rep gave us a hard time and just about refused to move the trucks. This happened twice. The customer service is very poor to the point almost everyone is rude. There is also something wrong with the mechanism on my unit we had to pry open the lock every time we went there. I have had nothing but positive experiences with this facility. The staff including Josh, and the two younger gentlemen (didn't get their names) have been accommodating and pleasant each of the four times I've dealt with them. I even had someone back into my truck on accident (not staff), and they were quick to act, making sure if needed, a claim would be filed. Where to start. Thank god it was a free month because we rented a uhaul trailer cross country or I never would have lasted the month. There are soooo many trucks parked everywhere it is hard to drive around or park your vehicle. There was always a truck parked in front of all one side of the units. You had to call to say please move the trucks so I can load and unload stuff. Very inconvenient. We were going to sign on for a year but it is too busy in that lot and way too many headaches and besides we found a unit in town for half the price uhaul quoted me!
