The person working at this UHaul was very helpful and professional. It was an efficient use of my time and I'll come back to this location the next time I need a truck rental.

I would like to say there was nothing wrong with the employees, both that I was assisted by were patient and kind. My issue was with the U-Haul itself. I had multiple issues with the truck; it was not clean from the previous use, smelt like weed, the maintenance on the truck (more so for brakes) was bad, and I was given a truck with under 1/4 tank of gas left in it. Every time we moved the truck it sounded like a clown horn was on the brakes, it was very squeaky. I was happy for the assistance I received. But I do believe the trucks need to be better taken care of. Thank you for all the help, our move went smoothly with the truck so heck, the fact it went from point a to point b is amazing!

The original drop-off location was 220 E 117 street. When i arrived, we were told there was no room and needed to drive to another location. That added an hour to my trip in an unfamiliar city and caused many issues for us. This should have been handled about uhaul and not on me to drive.

This is not an improvement, I Just wanted to make it known. I do not remember the gentlemen working the afternoon I picked up the U-Haul (Sunday 1/21). But he was INCREDIBLE! I’ve been going through one of the darkest times in life and it’s been a rough year, but he was such a bright light. He deserves a ton of praise.

Have used this location (Vestavia, AL) many times in the last yr. The vehicles are always ready and mainly the guys that work there are always extremely well mannered, helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone.

guy working gave me the wrong truck, so when I returned, my mileage showed I had driven over 100k miles. My wife said it smelled like marijuana and that the guy was high. I got the truck w/ barely any fuel, so I had to go get gas before I even went anywhere to make sure I wouldn't run out. Truck was ok, I guess, and I know Uhaul basically has a monopoly in its industry, so they aren't compelled to do better. It is what it is. If there were a better alternative, I would definitely consider it first.

Dude behind the counter was friendly and courteous. The entire place smelled like recent pot smoke. In return to the same location 5 hours later, the store was unlocked and empty. A walkie-talkie was on the counter along with a note saying to hit him on the radio, but nobody responded. The store smelled like pot again. I went outside and encountered another customer who also commented on the weed smell. I left the truck and keys behind the counter and called the 800 number to ensure someone knew I left the truck.

The rep working was awesome, but the trailer was dusty with a bit of soil and I had to quickly sweep and mop it so my items wouldn't get dirty.

Upon returning the trailer I rented, I was waived in a general direction with no verbal communication as to what to do at the end of the street, and when pulling up to the location where he was standing I had to ask for directions as to where he wanted the trailer. He waived in a general direction. I got out of my truck and watch him disconnect the trailer and asked him if there was anything else I needed to do. His response was "I ain't handcuffed you." Not a pleasant experience or does it bode well for me renting anything from U-Haul again. This was the second trailer I rented from U-Haul this year, I might add.

I had to have a cargo van and thus had to drive and additional 80 miles round trip to this location to get one which added about $40 to the bill. Not a big deal for an 800 mile rental. This location is mainly a storage unit with limited vehicles but they had the vehicle I needed, it was clean and waiting for me and the check out took only five minutes. Check in three days later took less than a minute. Vehicle was just what was needed and performed well. Staff was excellent. No complaints.

My only complaint is the rate kept going up and up and up. Three increases from when I signed on is a little ridiculous personally but I get it. Also, why in the world would you require to swipe out of the secure area. Swipe to enter I totally understand and thought that was great but swipe to leave is insane. Just inconvenient to get out of your vehicle to swipe out when it should just raise. Just my opinion. Thanks!

The gate was not working and the guy was very bullish, nasty, aggressive. He snapped on me and told me if I needed his name he would tell me so if I needed to report him, he had the entry of the gate blocked, instead of helping me, he walked upon my car like ge was going to approach me, he was very angry. It didn't get any better when I went in to close the account, the guy and female was nasty as well

I discussed move our date with the gentleman in the office by the name of Chris and also an older lady as well it was July 1st when I moved out I told them a month in advance that I was moving out so that was June the 1st and again I moved out July the 1st, you all need to fixs your dates.

The facility, layout and services were all good. However, the storage prices are higher than at other locations. The hallway where my storage unit was located was partially dark because a couple of the hallway lights were out; so, I had to use my cell phone flashlight inside the unit to see and place items. The facility offers two on-site moving carts, but only one was a useful flat cart while the other cart had permanent bars that wrapped around the top of the cart--making it useless since the bars prevented any item stacking. The move-in process took longer because we could only use the one flat cart for unloading.

The manager was nice on the phone. In person, she was very unprofessional. She made me feel like a criminal. I never argued with her, but she wanted to embarrass and degrade me in front of others. She threatened to call the police, even though I didn't do anything but try to move. She and the janitor was watching me move. The unit area was hot and I had to take my time because I wasn't feeling well. I went through many problems over the last few months and I was sick when I moved out. I had back problems and dehydrated. I was fighting the pain and illness. The manager didn't care. She was screaming at me. I went home upset, crying, embarrassed, sick, and in shock. I will never go to another UHaul again.

Thank you to the lady that worked the morning of 1/1/2021 at the location 1420 Montgomery Hwy. Vestavia, Alabama she assisted my mom in getting this facility for me because the other Vestavia location was not open when it should have been. we have used this location to store daughter dorm contents 3 summers in a row; it has been excellent every time; 1st 2 yrs were best because we had ground floor unit near entrance/exit/ofc & not too far buried in bldg; don't like having to go up elevators & down many halls & turns, but know it depends on what is available; mgr Sabrena Deming is tops

I would like to give a BIG shout out to Darrius Artis at this location. From the 1st day that I moved into the unit, until the last day, he has been a Superstar Represenattive of the U-Haul Company Brand. He assisted my family with every aspeect of our storage and rental needs. Yesterady when we arrived to pick up our truck, we were informed by the CSR on the phone that the keys were not dropped off and thus we had to wait for 2 hrs or see if another location had a similar truck. I saw Darrius in the store and asked for help. We explained the situation and he advised he attempted to reach us the prior day due to a system glich. Since the store was n't open yet and we had Glorified Movers coming in 20 minutes, he immediatley assisted us. We received our truck 15 minutes before the movers arrived. If you are looking for a good place with great service, go to this location and ask for Darrius, you will not be dissapointed. Thank you Darrius. Stay Safe and keep up the Great Work Sir.
