I have never met a more rude customer service employee in my life. The general manager Jaron Turner was absolutely unprofessional and down right RUDE. He didn't greet me when I came in nor did he even look at me while speaking with me. I can't even believe he is a manager of the store. I dealt with a Tyler the day prior to book my initial reservation who was very professional, kind and helpful. I think the company needs to evaluate who they put in managerial positions. The experience overall was unpleasant and I would NOT recommend U-Haul in Westfield, MA.

I was charged for 1.5 gallons for fuel for a 7 mile rental !! ??? Not happy about that. When I returned with my rental, I waited with the vehicle as instructed for 15 minutes with no response !!!! I then went into the store and waited again for 15 minutes until somebody finally appeared!! ????? Not happy about that... My 19.99 plus .59 per mile ended up costing just about 35.00 with taxes additional fees etc..... For a rental that I kept for 45 minutes and 7 miles....The only reason I would recommend this location to a friend is because it is the game in town.....

I had ordered an appliance dolly along with the pick-up truck. When I got to the location, the dolly was not there. I contacted the U-Haul 800 number and they advised that I wait for store to open (15 minutes) When Technician arrived, he did not have keys to get into office. I had to alter my plans and make an extra trip back to the Location to pick up a dolly an hour later which meant more mileage on the truck and extra time. I should have been offered some sort of discount either on the mileage or the cost of the appliance dolly. Rental agent at store was not concerned. He spent time on his personal phone while dealing with me. Check out was uneventful. Same agent, same attitude.

We were charged too much mileage we win 5.4 miles one way which is 11.8 miles round trip where we charge 21 miles round-trip the person in the store was very rude so I asked her to speak to the manager and then I started yelling at him and then he yelled back at me and we didn't get any issues resolved and I still think you owe us money

I thought that I booked the rental one way and i had to return the truck in Victor NY. Turned out the truck i rented was an intown truck and I had to return it to the Westfield MA store. They told me it would be an extra $700 to drop it off there. They would not recognize that there was a glitch and i had to ruin my holiday plans to return the truck to Westfield. There needs to be better communication of the contract. i told the representative that released the truck to me what i was doing and there was no red flags that there was a contractual mistake. the contract was very vague and only had the mileage estimate and fuel level of the truck, so i didn't see a problem until i got to the victor store. I will be much more careful next time.

The customer service was and always has been outstanding at this location. I have rented from there numerous times and have always had a very good experience. This time however was pretty bad. The truck I rented was horrible. I needed to go from Westfield MA to Covington RI and back. Once I got on the highway I realized that the Front and Steering was so bad that I actually looked for another U Haul dealer on way so I could trade in the truck. No luck. I was stuck. I told the person who I got the truck from to NOT let anyone else rent this truck until they get it fixed. Again, the people at the Westfield location are great. My bad experience had absolutely nothing to do with them.

Wonderful experience! They had the trailer I needed, reserved it for me, hooked it up with a smile, and off I went. Same on the return. Pulled in, they asked if it all went well (it did), disconnected it, and I was done. Simple, affordable, friendly.

The truck was clean and in nice condition. It broke down on us because the starter went bad and I had to get underneath and get the starter unstuck to start it. Shouldn't have to do that. I feel like I deserve some compensation for the trouble. Fortunately for you guys, I saved you a towing charge.

Very helpful here. The only issue on this end was that the storage unit that was booked for me was not available. They only had a smaller one. Communication issues when booking trucks accessories for the overall package fell short of my expectation.

Only issue was mice/rats that made it into my temperature-controlled unit. There was traps inside the unit but they still are through clothing and left droppings. Just thought I'd mention.

First thing....your website is deceiving....I requested an 8:00 am pick up on Sunday sept.20th....could not get the truck till 9:00 when place opened.....was told the truck wasnt delivered on time....finally after a brutally slow check in process, I took the truck at 9:30...I had to pay 2 helpers for more than an hour for waiting on the truck.....I will never and I will strongly encourage others to not use the uhaul business.....

I had a 7am pickup time on Saturday morning. I was there at 6:55. No one showed up to work till 8am. I went there the night before around 5:15pm to reserve the van. Anthony checked my license and credit card. I asked if he wanted me to pay now and he said we would settle up in the morning. I said: I'll see you at 7am. This threw off plans if 3 others that were helping me.

The online check-in is very misleading regarding requiring a copy of license. Very poor instructions. Wanted to minimize time in store, which was held up over having to upload it on site. Also the return process uhaul.com/share return signed posted don't explain it has to be performed on site on a mobile device. I went home and tried to return the trailer in my computer only to not have it work, then tried my cell which then said needed to be onsite. Do I had to drive back to uhaul. Not very consumer friendly instructions.

I'm very disappointed with my charges. I just saw on my statement that I was charged an after service hours charge of $20. I asked your associate if I can bring back the truck after hours and drop it off. He said yes and never told me of the amount I would be charged for doing so. I live 5 minutes away and would have dropped it off in the morning if I knew I would be charged $20. I assumed it was easier for U-Haul as well because you can tend to it as you have the downtime. My statement didn't arrive until 9:30am but I was charge for what?? I would like to see this charge credited back to my credit card as I was not aware of the charge. I've also been renting U-Haul trucks from this location for years as my daughters were in college and moved away from home. I also get my propane tanks filled there. I was very disappointed this morning and I will rethink my options in the future.

Gerald was somewhat unfamiliar with the products (thought there was a cd player, a/c outlet, adjustable steering column length of box, etc.- there were not in the 10" box truck). Could have engaged better with the customer (didn't look up from screen very often).

The truck I rented had a damaged roof, allowing the rain water to pour into the truck. There was water all inside. I could only use half the truck. Thankfully, I was very pleased with the customer service I received, allowing me a significant discount when I returned the truck and showed the staff person the problem.

No surprise charges. I put in that I was going about 200 miles on the online reservation and my quote was for about $40. When I got to the center I was told there's a "deal" for over 100 miles that adds $50 to my charges for some unknown and unexplained reason so I ended up paying over $100. This was more than twice what I was expecting to pay and was unethical and completely unnecessary - I still would have rented if you had just told me the charges beforehand and given me a reason for it and would be much more willing to rent and recommend now. At this point, I'm definitely going to be warning people against your tricks and money grubbing "deals".

I reserved online a 10x20 drive up unit for $204/month, upon arrival I was informed there were no 10x20 units available. The best solution I was told was to rent side by side 10x10 units inside. I reluctantly agreed as I was there with a truck full of stuff. When processing my reservation it turned out that to rent the 2 units would cost me $300/month which is UNACCEPTABLE. If I was quoted that much at the time of reservation I would never had rented the unit as that is way too much money for me to pay monthly. This move with UHaul has been nothing but problems from the truck rental, the moving helpers, and then the storage unit. I am EXTREMELY disappointed. UHaul took a very stressful situation and made it so much worse.

Your "President " Jerry Ouilettte should be ashamed to employ Greg Bonneau in a managerial position. Greg is rude, sarcastic and cares nothing about customer problems. Unit full of rodent droppings.
