I was very upset when I accidentally left an envelope with some cash and was no longer able to retrieve it. I left it in my visor of the truck and noticed as soon as I had left the car yet when I got there the morning after they told me the car left out already and to come back. When I came later that day they told me the car wasn’t back and to come back the next day. It is now the second day after I returned the car and when I got there I was told nothing was in it. I am so upset especially because I know how cleaning is performed in between vehicles and I know it was taken. I say this for future references to be careful with your belongings because miracles do not always happen especially at this place.

Thierry PI made reservations and when i arrived they told me that the system was down so I had to come back. They called me an hour later and said come back it's working again. When I got back the system didn't work AGAIN. Cost me a days work plus paying an employee. Worst system ever.
Michael SI don’t know wtf is going on with U-Haul. This location should be shutdown. You delayed access to the vehicle for 3 hours. First the Indian at the 711 didn’t know where the keys were. Then he knew but could not give to me. Then I had to call another Indian guy because the code I got via the uhaul rep online didn’t fit with what he knew. Then he realized he didn’t have any of the blankets I ordered. The stupidity of this branch owner caused me a delay of more than 3 hours, more than half a day. By the time I got what I needed from another branch I was close to loosing my reserved time for apartment moving. To top it off you charged me some bullcrap after hour service fee. What fucking service? I put the car keys in the box, parked the vehicle for you. No service whatsoever from some scammy Indian. Fuck your service. This level of bullshit you pulled is completely unacceptable. You should be refunding me every penny for all the time i wasted unfucking all of your processes.

THOMAS Bour last rental was about a month ago and it was the same type van as this time. The last time the van was new so it was the perfect rental. this time it was an older model that someone had treated like trash. the result was a slipping transmission, a wierd clunk from the rear and a surging engine at certain speeds. All of which was not the fault of the staff but made for a van that was harder to handle then it should have been. I would recommend this van go in for a work over or be replaced.

The vehicle given was wedged in between the fence and the front bumper was in contact with the truck in front of it making it very difficult to pull out. The dolly and hand truck I paid for were not inside the truck. Overall, I left an hour later than I wanted to.
Andrew AI would try and find a different location if I could. Help upfront was very poor. One person helping 4 eating customers. If each took about 7-10 minutes to complete you are looking at 20-40 minutes waiting to just get your vehicle. If there is only 4 people waiting

MARCO JNew system U-Haul implementing is SHIT. I booked online night before and was expecting pickup to take 5 minutes since I literally filled up everything online the night before. It took me almost 50 minutes to get my van and leave establishment. The people working there were great. But they’re not allowed to check you in anymore. U-Haul wants people to do everything on app. Including taking pictures of equipment and everything. Also the first truck I got had no gas and paperwork said it 1/2 full. So when I told people working there. They were able to get me a new truck but now it didn’t match with what I had on app. And then I had to go retake pictures of everything. Also this new truck had back door was damaged and wouldn’t close properly. I had an ajar door light on dashboard the entire time. Trucks like this should be removed from line and get repaired. I was really disappointed how long it took me to get my truck and leave. Now what are people that don’t bring a cellphone supposed to do? Let alone elderly customers that don’t really know how to work cellphones other than to call/text. This is unbelievable. I understand the new movement with AI and getting rid of employees to save money on a job that a computer can do. But I feel U-Haul rushed this roll out to save a few bucks. (Maybe kiosks could work better) They have a lot of work to do. I’m thankful I won’t need U-Haul services for quite some time because it was literally the worst experience I’ve ever had.

Not being tech savvy the employees walked me through every step, being extremely patient with me. Upon dropping the Truck off the other gentleman was fantastic. He also took care of everything. I didn’t even mention the low price. I was shocked!! Only $19.95!! At that price I suggest everyone get the insurance protection..

I think it's always good to actually have a person go over to the vehicle and look at everything as there was a sensor alert that came on once we started the vehicle. We had to walk back to the office to find out what was the issue before leaving the location.

Initially, when I rented a storage space at the North White Plains Storage Facility, the staff was friendly and helpful. About six months ago, I originally went to rent a moving truck after I engaged in a conversation with a very polite employee, which convinced me to not only use their moving service but also rent a storage space without exploring other options. I valued the personal connection with an enthusiastic employee over considering alternative storage facilities. However, my positive perception took a hit when, not even six months later, I received a call from a male employee claiming I hadn't made the payment for October, two days after the scheduled auto-charge. To my surprise, I was informed of a penalty for the payment delay. When I explained that I was on autopayment and unaware of any issues, the employee insisted that I had been removed from the autopayment plan. After insisting to tell me what card they have on the system he provided the last four digits of a card I never owned, despite being charged every month. During this frustrating conversation, another employee, Miss Martinez, made the situation worse by using inappropriate language and adopting an aggressive tone. When I mentioned my busy schedule and the difficulty of managing numerous subscriptions, she retorted angrily, stating, "this is your bill, you are responsible for paying your bills." After a 30-minute argument, during which I asserted that they needed me more than I needed them, their tone suddenly shifted from rude and arrogant to soft and caring, offering to enroll me in autopayment again. Post-call, I conducted some research and discovered a storage facility just one mile from my apartment, offering a cleaner environment with elevator access, all at half the price of the U-Haul location. My advice to U-Haul is to invest in good employees, as the quality of customer service greatly influences customer satisfaction.

The access hours could be better if open later, or if the privilege for 24-hour access was not an additional upcharge. I've had this room since the mid 2000s. It was necessary when I lived in Manhattan, useful when I lived in North White Plains, but it's become redundant since moving to a home in Putnam County. We will likely close our second room in my wife's name.

It said that I could get a month of storage free with my rental so I agreed. The rate I was quoted was around $160. When the day came and I showed up at the unit, they said they don't participate in those promotions and refused to honor the price on my email confirmation. They said they'd been sold out of unit but of course then happened to have a last minute opening they could give me...at almost double the price. I had a full truck after a very long drive and so I took it. Extremely poor experience overpaying for a unit Uhaul would not honor.

I still went with unit because it is a little more space for me to go through/organize my stuff & I don't have to climb (It's ground level).... :"t's complicated" at home. My only comment about the facility itself was I wish it had more climate control. There is another self-storage location about a 7 min walk from this U-Haul but I had a bad experience with them before they changed hands. Part of the bad experience may still have a unit there so I am not comfortable using them which Is why I'm using this U-Haul location.
