I had to go inside three times in the checkout process and made me arrive after the packers had arrived. Mileage was incorrect. I tried to update it on my phone and it gave me an â€œerror see attendantâ€œ message. The dolly plastic tie was broken and in the process of fixing the mileage issue they deleted my reservation (after paying). They had to reissue it, recharge me. They said I should get all overage refunded. All other interactions were supper impressive, but the above issues kept the ranking as average rather than excellent.ANTHONY T.

I wanted a small van but couldn't get one because I didn't have a credit card. I almost walked out but then asked if I could rent a different vehicle. Then the owner fixed me up with a box truck. Had a great experience but was very surprised she didn't mention that as an alternative instead of letting me almost walk out. She should have helpfully told me about the box truck immediately. The only issue is sometimes it takes a little time to get someone in the office, either on the phone or at the desk. It is understandable based on the size of the operation and number of customers. However, once you do talk to someone, they are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I hate moving but this location has made it the best possible experience, on multiple occasions, throughout the years.COLIN V.

The van was not clean. It had dog hair from the previous rental all over the back where we had to load. No time to clean the van as we had a deadline to meet. My wife is highly allergic to dogs and this was not acceptable whereas she had to follow me to and from the destination which cost us extra time, money and gas. In addition, the beginning mileage was off by 20 miles. I did not understand about an app to verify this information but waited to inform the employees about these items when I returned the vehicle. They did not seem to care about the dog hair whatsoever and proceeded to argue and question me about the mileage discrepancy but finally fixed this issue. I have been a police officer for 25 years and do not carry myself in a manner that would make one question my character or honesty. I definitely think there should be a better system in place for people who don't use apps such as someone accompanying you to the van to validate the mileage and cleanliness if you do not use apps.MICHAEL B.

Fix the app location services so I am not stuck for half an hour on the phone trying to get the truck dropped off. I ended up going to the door where the label on the door said drop off key and grab your stuff. Then I checked in, got help getting location service fixed not knowing I'd be asked to take pictures of mileage ,inside of truck etc. The app should have an override button on location services or be the last thing to confirm.Matthew P.

When I returned the trailer to the U-Haul location, per instruction I was waiting in the Return Equipment line (RTL) where I was clearly the first person in line. While I was waiting for at least 15 minutes a number of other vehicles pulled up behind me in the RTL; finally a U-Haul staff member came to the RTL and promptly went to the vehicle behind me in line and began assisting the other vehicle with its return. When I questioned the U-Haul staff member on why he went to the 2nd vehicle when I was clearly first in line the ridiculous response I was given is that the U-Haul staff member thought someone else was helping me... what that assumption was based on is still a mystery. Finally, after sitting in the RTL for 25 minutes my rental trailer was unhitched and I was told I could leave. A return process that should have taken 3-5 minutes took 25+ minutes. This was a very nice, professionally run Uhaul facility. My only complaint is the alarm system on the unit. Every single time I would access the storage unit, the alarm would go off. This issue was pointed out to several of the staff members that assured me it would or has been taken care of. They checked my access card and made sure everything was in order, but the issue still persisted. We reserved the unit via U-Haul National while renting a Truck to move across states. The unit was free for the first month and $34 for the following months. On going to pay for the first time we got charged $44 which was greater than the advertised price. Even the signs at the store show the price to be $34. When we brought up the matter with the agent the vehemently refused and said the unit we got was $44 and the would/could not charge me any lower price. Rather than disagree we paid and decided we would not stay at this facility and moved out from this facility to another. Other than renegading on their advertised price and being charge a higher rate without notice the facility was clean and everything else was above our expectation. We make decisions and get into contracts based on agreements. To renege is uncalled for and thus we felt cheated. As such I would not recommend this facility to others.JOANNES L. | Overall Experience

When we went to the units we were assigned one was already taken with a lock on it. That issue was resolved. Then when I came back the next day they were unable to find me in the system when my card reader would not work. I have used this facility as well as my family many many many times! I've always rented trucks the same with my family and this was the first time renting storage. I was told one thing when I originally got the unit but was told something different when I was getting out of it. then the lady on the phone which I know her by face and name because of so much business I've given you guys but she told me on the phone that she was just an employee of the 800 number and not at the location itself. She would not honor what I was told originally so I want to see no need to call and resolve before submitting this survey. I ask her twice to honor what I had been told and she would not. Two negatives, otherwise five stars: 1- Exceedingly difficult to contact any local facility directly by phone; you reach the national customer service center if the local office doesn’t answer, which is often. I phoned yesterday several times to ask a question, customer service center passed along my message, said the local facility got my question and would call me back: still waiting.... 2- We did not know until we opened the storage space door that each space is not entirely enclosed. No ceilings! Wire fence material is the ceiling. Our space had a giant rat trap in the back corner so any vermin/pests brought in by other renters can easily spread from space to space. Plus, if a rat does get in and get trapped and dies, our belongings are going to stink to high heaven. Other facilities where I have rented space previously were completely enclosed. This was an unexpected unpleasant surprise and a big negative for me. Be sure to look at the space before you sign a contract.David T. | First Impressions
