Make sure we don't waist gas going to a location that you send us to that was obviously closed and then send us to a location expecting us to pay full price. Other than that , you had young man named Jesus Robinson who held himself with poise and know how. He was a very welcoming, bright young man. He made things run a little bit smoother from our bad start.b

Make sure your front desk staff is friendly and accommodating. Make sure your front desk staff does not try to change preselected drop off locations – especially ones that are not in safe areas.

The space for customers to stand is a little small. During COVID, kind of uncomfortable. May be move some things around or put signage to indicate not more than two customers in the room at a time. This location is a trailer whereas other locations have much more space.

After numerous communications with the location in days leading up to picking up the truck, verifying my contract number and explaining to the the person at the location the day of that the app does not show my reservation, the following happened: Me and my 15 year old son flew to Houston, TX to pick up the truck at 10:00pm. We arrived at the location at 9:45pm. I tried releasing the truck through the app and the website but was unsuccessful. I called the 800 number and after waiting 17 minutes the representative answered. After verifying myself she could not get the truck released and HUNG UP on me. I called again and after a 21 minute wait a different representative answered. We determined that the booking was made under my business email and that my account was under my personal email. After almost 1 1/2 hours on the phone, after I had to take and send pictures of my DL front and back, they released the truck. At this point it was just before midnight. The truck should have been release within the first 5 minutes with the first representative. Absolutely unacceptable.

Pick-up location was changed less than 24 hours prior to pick-up, location was further than anticipated for pick and pushed back other timelines due to be out the way. Also not much availability for area.

I booked to pick up my U-Haul down the street from my storage and instead of them transferring the truck to the location I selected they had me pick it up from a location way further away adding unnecessary mileage to my bill and they did not waive the mileage fee!

Customer service very abrupt and rude when asked questions. Saying things like “like I said look at your paperwork”. Not wanting to answer questions not about paper work. Plus, I had to call the day before my reservation was to start because I had not received email confirming the time and place. When calling I was told I did not have a reservation. When I provided a reservation number they told me to call the 800 #. Called 800# and was put on hold for 47 minutes then they tried to sent me 30 miles away to pick up truck. I had reserved And paid for pick up on Friday and drop off on tuesday. Turned it in on Monday and they tried to charge me for an additional day. When I pointed out I brought it back a day early they fixed it. The thing is they did the same thing to my daughter just like the day before only she was moving to another state. The truck worked out great and ran smooth, no problems but the stress and aggravation will make me think twice about using them again.

I reserved the trailer online at a location off of Old Spanish Trail. The location was in a sketchy part of town and the staff was clueless as to my reservation. I had to go to two other locations to find a trailer.

Me and other customers were being yelled at by Uhaul employee names Maquisha. When I was checking in the reservation she was on her headset arguing with someone else. When I was told to hook to the trailer she didn't give me clear direction. then she also tried to have me back into a really tight corner which I did not feel comfortable doing. She even said that I was a bad driver and she almost got into my car to move it before I told her to stop. I told her to pull the trailer by the 6 ft onto my hitch which she refused. Then I had to pull it and hitch it myself. After getting things hooked up, she stormed off. I had to get another customer to help me check my turning and breaking lights. The return experience was pleasant and easy.

Hello! I dropped my rental vehicle off at this location after it had closed. I did not interact with any employees. The owner of this location really needs to clean up the outside area where a customer is supposed to drop off the rental. It was very dirty and the pavement needs to be done again. Thanks.

I was given the oldest out of dat auto transport on the lot out of 12-15. Not to mention one of the tires blew out on the road and another had to be replaced because the treads were coming off.

Location was not central or close to me. It was closed and fenced off with unclear directions and in a rough part of town. I was a little uncomfortable leaving a vehicle there overnight with supplies in the truck which was not lockable.

The customer service was terrible. An employee had already given us the keys to the truck, and another employee yanked the keys from our hands. So rude. We went in to get a U-haul, and we were turned away at the counter. The lady told us we needed to make a reservation and that all of them were not available until 2. We went to the car to check out how to reserve, and it turns out there was a truck available for 11am, so she lied to us. While we were there there was another customer who was trying to self check in, and was asking for help. The employee told us to help her. That is her job not ours. This was my first time renting from U-Haul, and it was the worst experience ever. Never going back to this location at least.

Make them aware of insurance deductibles and coverage, after hour return policy (which seems to vary at different locations) and all cleanup and all other fees at the time of rental.

The woman who was running the location was in a bad mood. My reservation was at 9 am and I was there at 8:45. When she showed up at 9:08 a.m. she seemed kind of put out. She made me feel like I was pushy to get my rental at 9:00 a.m. and said who would expect a 9:00 a.m. reservation at 9:00. She said most people show up later.

The truck did not have air conditioning and it was a very hot day with the temperature being in the 90's. The picking up of the truck was supposed to "contact free" because of the pandemic, but we still had to interact with the attendant because the code to the lockbox was never forwarded to my cellphone. We were charged an additional $25 because the furniture mats were not folded up.

It looks like it's an abandoned location without a real store there or employees to assist you. We weren't told we would have to pick up our keys from a box and need a code to open the box so we had trouble retrieving the keys and the employee was not able to help us. We also were not told anything about the UHAUL or about needing to refill the gas tank for the gas used and were charged a large amount for something we could have done if we had been told to do so. The check engine light on our truck was on the whole time too and were worried it would break down during our move. Unfortunately we aren't very happy with our experience.
