Waited 20 minutes to pickup a truck. Then they didn't have furniture dollies and I was moving furniture! It doesn't help to have a truck without the dollies. Had to go buy them at home depot.Boris F.

The moving company that I booked through your site was supposed to have two people and only one person showed up on time. The second showed up about 1.5 hours late and I was still charged the full amount for two moversâ€¦.plus I moved my own dresser down the stairs because they were incapable of doing it. I am not happy to shell out $235 for movers that were not professional nor showed up on time. I tipped the man who was there an appropriate amount for his work but do not feel that I should be charged the whole $235 for what happened.Blaise B.

The left rear tire had a slow leak the entire time I had the vehicle. I had to stop four times to add sure to the tire throughout the course of the day. This cost me time, and money.RICHARD U.
People who work at U-Haul of Chelsea are awesome. Really great guys, especially the guy with the dreadlocks. Awesome human being. Truck was really old and engine super loud, and you could hear it had issues changing gears, and just horrible to drive in every respect. You should get some new trucks.Tom F.

The front desk person was not nice and friendly, the gasoline level on the paper you gave me was wrong and the van's gas level was lover, the guy who gave the car to me was extremely unfriendly and rude, didn't say a word about the vehicle, how doors open, how break worksâ€¦REZA P.

I was in my van in the garage ready to leave but another customer blocked the driveway and I had to delay my trip by over 20 minutes, which resulted in additional fees for me. The employees in the garage were very nice and they even warned me that a person was blocking the exit. When I asked the person to move so I could leave the garage, she was aggressive and rude. The employees could have helped out more here.Bao O.

Off hour drop off need to be available. No gas stations around, gas policy need to be changed. No parking in and around the facility, you are on your own. No express or mobile check in. Staff is great but they do not have much to work with here. It would of been nice to know these things before reservation are placed. Getting stuck with a truck to park in NYC after 9 pm was not a fun experience.YARON H.

I will never rent from this location again. Poor advertising on the website and terrible rental hours. Why would the U-Haul website suggest the Chelsea location for the time I wanted to rent a Uhaul van (which was 8pm for two hours) if they close at 8:45pm?!! That's means I was stuck with a van in Manhattan over night. I luckily had a miracle once I was done with moving my stuff out of the van. Someone moved out of a Parking spot that was big enough to park the van right on my block. I honestly was furious if I had to looked all over the city for street parking at 10pm for a parking space that would fit a van. I honestly won't rent from Uhaul again because of that issue and the extra surcharges. I could of been stressed free and saved money by hiring someone with a van or just taking several trips on the train with the stuff.Christopher R.

The van was clean and fine. There was literally zero gas in be tank. Drove a mile and thought I would be stranded in the middle of NYC and had to scramble to find a gas station. Plus the tire monitor light also was on when I pulled out. Not a good feeling.Todd F.

Pick up was fine. Van ran great and was clean. At drop off though they were horribly rude dismissive and literally angry at all of the customers. No help with where to line up for check in. There were only four of us there dropping off our trucks and they acted like it was such a monumental task. I spoke with all of the others dropping off and they were all just as shocked as I was about how directionless and unhelpful the team on staff was at that time. All they needed to do was to take one single minute to explain where to park and what was happening. Open communication is all which was needed. I left feeling like I was kicked in the face.Jason L.

I made an online reservation for a uhaul truck for 4 hours but when I went to the Chelsea location to pick up the truck they told me I have to bring the truck at 8.30pm which allowed me less then 2hrs time to carry out my stuff. It would be nice if this notification was available on the app at the time of the reservation in which case I would have looked at other alternatives because 2hrs wasn't enough to finish my job. The next day they sent me a bill totalling 134 us dollars for 14 miles of usage in the city. Too many hidden fees!! This is not fair!ESAD K.

Do to a MAJOR conflict between the website and the Chelsea location, I will not be using this location again. I was not instructed the location didn't accept after hours drop offs, nor was it stated in my contract. Through the uhaul website I was able to extend my reservation, and again, wasn't told the location didn't accept after hour drop offs. I went to return my truck at midnight at the location. Which I was successfully able to do online, only to find there was no key drop, and that the truck would be ticketed/towed at my expense. I reached out to uhaul several times that night on different platforms to try to find a solution. I was on hold for almost 25 minutes before I got through to someone when I explain my situation (along with a few other folks who were given the same misinformation also trying to drop off trucks). It got to the point I was in tears, because I was scared and had to drive to another part of NYC just to park. The truck has an issue with its ignition and the key would not turn. It took a few attempts. Also a very bumpy ride, new shocks? I had an 10 o'clock reservation but due to the line out the door, I didn't get my truck until 11. A facility fee? Come on. You advertise a 19.95 rental then almost double it with a facility fee. $9.50 for 13 miles of gas...you charge a per mileage fee already. - This is underhanded at best. I am moving apartments and will need a rental. I will pay whatever the market value is for good service. I will never rent from your company that has incorporated deceiving pricing practices into their normal way of doing businessTHOMAS G.

45 minutes wait, then a very rude uhaul rep who refused my rental because I only had a phone with an international number. She lied about all kind of policy issues. I had to insist multiple times that she called a manager. Manager told her to process my pre-booked reservation. No apology whatsoever from the Uhaul rep. Car had only 1/8 of gas, clear case of previous renter having been charged for not filling up, and Uhaul actually not filling up the tank. Will never return here.David D.

Front desk person was excellent. My only complaint is that i returned so next person could use Van early and was charged $53 for fuel. We only went nine miles so I returned Van figuring I would get charge $4,50/gallon for one or tops two gallon of gas.RICHARDALLAN S.
