The ubox was awesome from start to finish- I can't say enough positive things from the customer service to the care/safety of my belonging in the UBOX that traveled from NJ to California.- I would not hesitate to recommend you to friends/family. You were 1/2 the price of PODS so to say that I am happy, is an understatement! Keep up the great work UHAUL!

Check in and out times were extremely long. The staff was unfriendly. The location was cluttered. While customers waited, we had to stand for extended periods. Parking was poor!

The employees we interacted with on pick up and return were very nice/ professional. My only complaint was a dirty windshield and the bed of the truck needed a power wash. Overall the rental was a positive experience.

I have rented from U-Haul at least a dozen times and this is the absolute worst experience I've ever had. I waited in line for 15 minutes and then was told I had to have my phone take a picture of my ID and give it to them. However, I rented a U-Haul from another location not two weeks earlier and they did it themselves. So I had to go out to my vehicle, lose my place in line, get my phone, take a picture, and send it in. And then I get to the counter and I read the mat on the counter and it says that U-Haul can scan it but the person who waited on me was too lazy to do it. Her name was Irene. The guy who hooked up my vehicle was very good. I could tell he was working hard and running around a lot. also, I don't know who runs the place, but it is running poorly. Several times when I was checking in, the woman behind the counter had to run out and deal with people in the parking lot and the phone rang multiple times and no one answered it. Then when I got back the same day to drop off the trailer that I had gotten, I had to wait 30 minutes to get it unhooked because it was a different person working out on the yard and he was not working very hard and they were super busy. And then I couldn't even get out of the parking lot because of the trailer and people parked everywhere. I have to say that I was extremely disappointed in U-Haul and when I move across the country this summer, I will be using Budget rental.

When I made reservation I said someone else would be picking up, I was told all that was needed was he is drivers license. But when he arrived he was told he needed my credit card and he had to track me down out of a meeting to get it from me. I talked with attendant and told her we would be there in an hour yet the checkout paperwork was not done until my guy was there. The process left mich yo be desired.

The system changed my reservation from one location to another without notifying me. This caused a delay and more fuels do time was used. I had workers that were costing me approximately $200 an hour waiting for me while I scramble around to find another trailer. I think U-Haul should have notified me either by text or email of the change in reservation location rather than me learning about it while at the original location and waited in line 20 minutes there to learn that there is no trailer available.

I really didn’t like having to give two friends phone numbers over just to rent a truck. It felt like you all are just trying to get numbers for robocalls, And the truck was a mess on the inside. Someone had left a sweatshirt in the front cab along with fast food wrappers. And when I told the staff when I returned the truck they weren’t at all concerned.

My uhaul truck rental experience was great up until I got the truck. Customer service was okay and it didn’t take too long but once I got the truck the gas tank was empty. I was told I’d be credited for the gasoline in it but haven’t heard anything about that. I left the truck with a quarter tank so I really hope that’s the case. It was expensive to put in the gas I needed and to put even more that the previous renter didn’t put in. When I got home with the truck I was very disappointed to find that there was a lock on the cargo door. Rather than waste time driving back when I could be packing I called the roadside assistance and it took 2 truck calls and almost 2 hours for the tow truck to get there and saw off the lock. This set my move back a lot which is not what I had expected when I rented from uhaul. I thought this would make things easier not harder. I’m very disappointed. I didn’t end up getting to my new place until 1 am and couldn’t even finish unpacking because it was too late. When I returned the truck yesterday I was even more disappointed to find that I was charged more for going over mileage (mileage I used to fill the gas tank) and even more for renting an extra day. I was told that I didn’t have to return it for 2 days and saw something about a $0.44 charge for the mileage and $40 charge for the extra day. Still haven’t seen that gas credit. I hope this can be fixed soon. Moving is never pleasant but this made it so much worse. Sean Clark

If you pick up a truck at 7am, they have to call your alternate contact person at 7am on a Saturday, repeatedly, until they verify they know you, before they let you pick up truck.

Your time of the rental should start at the time you leave the lot. Not the time it takes going around a vehicle that’s gas well over 20 black ding spits and much more damage that was not marked. Took a significant amount of time taking pictures of all the damage. Vehicle was dirty inside the cab. Windshield wipers were in poor condition and front window dirty. Truck had no usb plugs and nobody knew a head of time if it did. Had to buy a 20.00 adapter to plunge in cell phone. You should have a complete sit of options and condition each vehicle is in to account for all the time was taken taking pictures and walking around the vehicle. The vehicle should not be rented in this condition. Also the gas mileage should be on this vehicle. I know it depends on how you drive it but no standard is not acceptable.

There was a little mix-up after we had been assigned a van they had to switch to another one and there was a question about the amount of fuel that was in the second van-the one that we used. But in the end the problem was rectified

There always seems to a shortage of employees to help customers. I have been to this location several times and it is same thing. I don't understand it. This is a very busy location, so there should be enough employees to accommodate customers.

They rented me the wrong type of trailer. I told the sales person I needed at least 64" to roll my UTV into. The inside of the trailer was plenty wide enough; however, the entrance was narrower, by a lot. I was not able to use the trailer at all. I blame myself for not checking when I picked it up; but, it wasn't until we went to pick up the vehicle 30 miles away that I figured out that the UTV wouldn't fit. I'm upset the sales person didn't consider the narrower entrance which cost me the rental of the trailer as well as time as we had to find another trailer which added 1 to 2 hours extra to our limited window we had to work with. It's an honest mistake by the sales person; but, still frustrating.

Too much push to use online services. Maybe that’s how the process is now, but an associate should do the pre-inspection for damage WITH the customer, not tell them to do it on their own with an online program

Your staff was slow and untrained. The young man that helped me was very slow and untrained on the computer system. There was a line out the door for customers and they Didn’t seem to care. I recommend better training for them and hiring some to manage that location. Sincerely, Josh

U-Box was not ready at scheduled day/time despite confirmations from U-Haul and calls made by us to confirm appt. Movers had to be rescheduled and staff was unhelpful even locating the box.
