It would be helpful to clarify the process related to returning furniture pads, especially when you have extra and do not have room in the ubox. We were told to return to any Uhaul location but then was told it was supposed to go back to the location that brought the ubox. We ended up returning to the closest one and everything was fine. I just got a bit confusee on the process. Overall, my experience was great.

I had to schedule to pick up my UBox THREE times. I still need to pay my movers for cancelation fee. Asked for reimbursement to district traffic department for my movers' cancelation fee, but it has been IGNORED. You do not even deserve a star. You really do need BIG HELP to improve. Good luck!

I didn't mind my box being delayed, but it would be better to have clearer communication throughout the whole process. I was told my box would be delivered multiple times on 9/1/21 and received many estimated times of delivery, but by end of day I was told it wasn't even in Philly... that's poor communication and a waste of everyone's time and money.

the East LA location is very unresponsive which is not good at all. However, the district office very helpful The U-boxes arrived earlier than expected which was great. Way too many furniture pads were given, but only because i had more boxes than furniture but my mover was able to return the excess to Uhaul East LA

The actual container had a broken latch. They tried to fix but it was never properly fixed and i injured my hand trying to open. More communication between drivers and staff. At one point I thought my box was towed/stolen.

The overall idea of the shipping containers is great. However the size of these containers are small. They told me that 1 container could fit up to a 2 bdrm, that was INACCURATE. I had to leave things behind bcz my order was for 2 containers which you definitely could NOT fit everything. I called inquiring about a 3rd container and they told It will be an additional $2000+ dollars. Then upon arrival to my new relocation out of state, I contacted the retrieving U-Haul company and they said my items hadn't been picked up. Mind you they were due for pick up at 11am it's well past that time. My request to the U-Haul co. a courtesy call would hv been polite indicating my things were not picked up. Then I immediately tryied to contact the mindful movers ( a contracted company) and thankfully I was able to catch them b4 closing. I spoke directly to the gentleman (Steve) who by the way calmed my nerves & and he indicated that he wasn't notified abt my pick up, but he would absolutely go and deliver my things. That's the only thing that made things better.(THANK U MINDFUL MOVERS!) I would Not recommend these UBOXES unless u moving your child things to or from a college. A home is not it. The 2 UBOXES I had should hv equaled 1. This $3k I spent was NOT worth it.

This was a very frustrating experience for me due to poor follow through. I called two days prior to my hitch installation to confirm they had all of the necessary parts providing my vehicle year make model and VIN. I was assured that all parts were ready and at location for the installation. The day of I dropped off my vehicle and went on with my business only to get a call an hour and a half later that they didn't have the correct hitch for my vehicle and that it would take two weeks before they could have the correct part. Whoever I spoke with did not check the parts they had or didn't do a good job looking. Furthermore the appointment should have been canceled and rescheduled before I even showed up day of. Because of the dire urgency of the hitch installation, I sourced my own hitch, with the help of the O'rielys management, at a Toyota dealership. The only reason I let Uhaul install is because I knew they had the wiring where the Toyota did not. The management from this location might learn a thing from the practices of the team at O'rielys across the way in customer service. Or at the very least get their facts straight with their customers so we have the autonomy to make our own choices based on what uhaul can actually do. This experience has left a very sour taste in my mouth and I sincerely hope the management of the 657 s Atlantic Los Angeles location sees this.

Your website clearly states that if a customer is unsure of how many uboxes they need, they should order an additional box and then if they don't use it they won't be charged for it. Therefore I was surprised that I had to pay the rental for both uboxes upfront and wait for a refund for the unused box. I was even more surprised when I learned that the staff member I spoke to after packing the ubox didn't know how to do this and told me someone else would have to do it and I should look for an email confirmation it had been done. The email confirmation never came. I called your customer service center and they assured me it had been taken care of, but it took awhile for my online profile to update. You should improve this process. Also if a customer puts a credit card in online they shouldn't be manually charged at the store.

The staff were very friendly and informative. Our delivery personnel in Bellingham WA, Eloise was excellent. She even offered us the option for same day return pick up which was very helpful. We will definitely recommend u-haul services in the future.

I understand that there was an issue with a lack of drivers, however my delivery date changed 3 times as well as the day of my delivery, at my final destination, my movers had to go to 3 different locations to find my uboxes because the communication from uhaul was so poor. I did expect more from my services but luckily my belongings arrived safely and in one piece.

Why are all the charges charged separately every time? I got charged every time the U-Haul containers were dropped off, picked up, shipped, dropped off, and picked up again -- about 5 different charges I believe. That was the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. My bank got so suspicious of the multiple charges that it started denying the charges, which led to late fees being charged by U-Haul. So I had to pay even more money and spend an absurd amount of time trying to reach someone at the bank AND at U-Haul to get it all sorted out AND I STILL DON'T KNOW IF IT'S BEEN SORTED OUT because U-Haul's system for checking this is absolute trash. If I have any say whatsoever, I will never use U-Haul again. That being said, the staff and people that helped me were very polite and helpful, it's just that the U-Haul payment system, notification system (I had to change contact person for pickup/drop off but I STILL KEPT GETTING CALLS even though I told the people that called the new contact person and information every time), and general website are stupid and useless. I hate the entire U-Haul system.

Box delivered 12 days after promised arrival. Had to change airline reservation. Lots of promises made that they were working on it but it felt like a lie. Box shipped to North Carolina instead of Wisconsin. They knew this but did not fix situation in a timely fashion. DON'T use Uhaul and DON'T BELIEVE THEM.

Train your employees better far as customer service and knowledge in mechanical error! Me as a customer shouldn't have to explain basic wear and tear to your employees so that I wouldn't be charged!!! Not my job ....

The physical location of this story was tricky. When operating large vehicles, I was nervous both leaving and returning to the property because of the busy main street and neighborhood street. Additionally it was also difficult to enter the location based on how one of the moving vans was parked in the lot, so it did feel like a tight fit. Other than the physical location, I would recommend these services to a friend.

You can make a reservation for a truck to haul your UBoxes instead of merely noting the need on the contract, throwing a carefully orchestrated cross country move into peril...you can inform the customer that his UBox has been bolted shut for transport so he doesn't have to bring it back to the dealer upon discovering this fact for himself at his new apartment building when the movers are five minutes away from showing up and have to be rescheduled to accommodate this new information...you can tell your employee at the deal not to respond to these facts by saying "You should've just taken the bolt out", as if my socket set were attached to my belt loop rather than INSIDE THE UBOX...OH, and I suppose you can NOT ask the customer to perform a precision driving technique to back a giant moving truck into a warehouse through a door about a nanometer bigger than the truck itself and then get pissy with the customer about not nailing it. ANY of these improvements will help your next customer.

Don't charge people's' credit cards for extra months of storage like you did with us FIVE TIMES this week alone. Allow people to actually call locations without getting duped into actually calling a National call center. Get your shit together. Etc.

The staff was great. They let me know they would be right with me while they helped the few people ahead of me. I didn't feel like they ignored I was there waiting. The urgency with which they worked was notable and I appreciated that as the line moved quickly and they were very attentive as they answered my questions and walked me through my reservation. Definitely making this my go-to location. The staff should get donuts! The only thing that was disappointing was the card reader is apple pay equipped but not working. There's a label on the machine indicate Apple & Google pay not an option. Bummer. They should update this machine, it would help speed up the payment process even if by a few minutes.

I don't usually leave reviews but this one deserves one. I was told the drop off time and I got there 5-6 min before the drop off and the lady that had helped me earlier was telling me it was closed and with an attitude. They charged me 20$ extra for that when I arrived on time and their staff didn't want to assist me. I won't go here again or recommend noto anyone

Only two workers for over 15 customers. The app is awful, ordered my truck ready to pickup and someone else took off with it without signing a contract, then they give me another truck and find out they don't have that truck on lot either. Finally I get another truck ordered but I noticed they still charged me for 2 trucks, so they fixed it. My trucks lock didn't even lock, I had to use my own. The truck shook so much like it had no shocks, I got so car sick, it felt like the truck was going to fall apart. Workers were very nice but my appointment was at 10am and I didn't leave until 11:30. Very slow and unorganized, need more staffing, trucks need lots of maintenance.

The drivers that delivered our Pod went above and beyond to help us out recommending a tow hitch lock and examining the entire load. The issue I have is with the delivery location big boy toys in dewight. On sat 4/3 we went to get our pod and the delivery location is in a closed bussness so we called the phone number that was on the door no answer. Ther as a sign that said that uhaul move to another location so we went 3 miles down the road to a gambling hall and the owner had to call the other location to get them to call me. So after we went back to the original location I received a call from a random number demanding my id and card numbers. After taking to them they didn't have our pod ready and we had to come back a week later. The area manager reached out to us and helped us sort out what is going on, that was a big help bc I never want to work with the owners of big boy toys again. We went back a week later and unloaded our trailers there bc the trailer that is was on was rusted looked like it was about to fall apart and left. Still with no sign of a person to help us or make sure everything was ok. I have used uhaul before for trailers from Joliet and was very pleased with all the help that they offered but with dewight worst experience ever

Customer Service One contact person you can call from start to finish Increase demand to meet the needs of your customers Go over with the customer the whole process with out leaving out information. The customer is told half way through shipping of items information that was not explained from the start Customer Service Rep's should have available to them all the information of the customers shipping details to avoid confusion. The customer should feel comfortable and confident their items/shipping experience is most important to UHaul as it is to the customer. The quality of customer service is poor.

Be more clear on the website about maximum weight, quality of the boxes. The boxes are made out of wood, I had concerns about it's sturdiness and weather endurance. They worked out well, but I was very concerned when I got them initially.
