Robert RI reserved a 20-foot truck, but U-Haul called me and said they did not have one available. They offered me a 26-foot truck and clearly stated I would receive it at the same rate. However, when I picked up the truck, I was charged $161 instead of the quoted $91. The information provided by the customer service representative was not honored at the pickup location. It feels misleading when customers are promised one price over the phone and then charged a much higher amount. The pickup location said they had no record of the promised rate adjustment. Very disappointing experience. Customers should not be given offers that cannot be honored. I expected the price I was told on the phone, not a surprise charge at pickup.

Luis BLaron provided us with an excellent service. It is just unfortunate that some customers do not return the rentals on time, and it is them, the employees that need to look for a solution. Thanks to Laron, we still got to use a rental that we reserved ahead of time.

RICARDO VThis is the second time we make a reservation with Uhaul, and both times we had issues... The first time we got told our truck was broken, and they gave us a small van instead (we had to do 3 trips instead of 1 to move our apartment) Luckily, we were only moving a short distance but that was an inconvenience. This time, they sent us to a very far location instead of the one we picked. That was not convenient but we really needed the truck so dealt with it. Then once we arrived there, they told us they didn't have the furniture pads we rented, they only had some for SALE. So we had to buy them and now need to give them away, such a waste of money.

MUSTAFA AAt equipment return, there are two large signs instructing customers to stop and remain with their equipment during business hours, which I did. While I was waiting, a rental truck and trailer pulled up behind me. The driver exited his vehicle and returned with the attendant, who assisted him first—even though the attendant clearly saw that I had been waiting in line ahead of the other customer and did not acknowledge me or let the other driver know someone was already waiting. The attendant checked him out, drove his vehicle away, detached and deposited the trailer, and then parked it in a separate area. As the attendant headed back to the office, I exited my rental and went inside. When he finally assisted me, he stated, “Our customers like to come inside to get help.”

Demarquis MI have been using Uhauls truck for 20+ years. Never had any problems with renting a truck and always finding a good location. And yes, customer service is GREAT!!
