The lot was a little sketchy to drive on to. Not well marked where to be or park. The store was organized inside. Clean. The gentleman who helped me was friendly, and knowledgeable. Set me up quick. Got me in and hooked up to get going. Equipment looked like it had not been serviced since Uhaul was founded aside from fresh tires. Dirty inside. I swept it out before use. Ropes hanging on the rails. I handed them to the store rep. Smelled like used engine parts were stored in it.

I reserved a dolly because that is what I needed to do the job. When I arrived, I was told there was no dolly! I was given 2 choices; use a heavy hand truck that is used to move a refrigerator (and pay for it!) OR buy a dolly. I didn’t like either option but took the heavy hand truck. I thought is was better than nothing buy I ended up not using it because I found something better at my destination. $7 wasted

The app is so helpful and everyone at Uhaul was great! I ended up having to extend my rental and they were able to accommodate me, even though I believe they needed that vehicle for another customer.

Michael was very helpful. We had tried two different drop off places and they wouldn’t take the truck. Then U-Haul directed us to a third place that wouldn’t take the truck but Barbette phoned the Gandy location where we could finally return the vehicle. Michael and Barbette were both excellent and very kind and helpful!

I was supposed to receive a dolley and was told they were out of them. I chose the size vehicle that I did because it came with one and would’ve gotten a smaller vehicle.

I rented a 10’ truck but when we showed up it was a 15’. I hope I was only charged for 10’. Gas is definitely more on a 15’ too. I should have been compensated for that. Also, truck leaked after heavy rain storm. Mattress and a couple of boxes were wet. I was asked to tow an auto trailer up to the location we were going in. They did offer extra miles and extra day plus small compensation to do so. I think it should have been more off the price of our rental due to also needing more fuel to pull a trailer. Seems like they got a great deal from us transporting it.

Both of the tires on the trailer blew out on the interstate. The equipment was in terrible condition and the wheel bearings were so rusty that I had to get the wheel bearings replaced in the middle of North Carolina and wait hours for a tow service to get the part from another town in the middle of nowhere.

I decided to rent 6 moving blankets. One person there went and got a bag of them for me, then another told me (correctly) that there were six already in the truck which we could use by just removing the plastic holding it. It would be nice if that was just done in the first place instead of getting handed a bag of them.

The people working here alleviated a lot of stress that happened during my move. I accidently chose a cargo van that couldnt hold all the stuff that I wanted to move with inside. I came back and they helped me return it and moved me into a box truck. On top of that they let me use their dolly and helped move the items from the old van to the new one. They went above and beyond when they didnt even have to offer me the dolly or help me move the items. I will be using this location the next time I need to rent a uhaul!!!! 10/10

Michael, older gent with glasses. He is the only reason for this rating. Before I step off I would like to thank Mark, the only other person in the store when I arrived, he was actually helpful and quite efficient. Back to Michael. “NEXT VICTIM TO THE DESK” was how it started, followed by a diatribe of negative comments to the other customers “ANYONE ELSE HERE THAT DOESNT HAVE A RESERVATION”? My rental was short, about an hour round trip. On my return I walked inside to inform your team that I was returning a lot of blankets that we had leftover from our U Boxes. Michael was the first to chime in “Nope, those are supposed to go back in the U boxes”, I explained that we recently got our boxes back after the hurricane and he told me again that we should have placed them in the boxes. I said “we just finally got everything unpacked, the empty boxes have been gone for weeks so there was no way to return all of them at that time”, his reply put me over the edge to be honest “Are they folded at least” I looked over my my shoulder as I was walking out and said yes, in fact they are neatly packed in totes, and left. I have never felt so angry or dismissed by any other representative of your company, we have spent thousands of dollars on U-haul since moving from Maine to Florida but this was beyond excessive. I will not return to this location and should I see Micheal at another I will likely leave.

Absolutely. I already have. While the other location on grove near Pendleton I think, is wonderful, this location is cleaner, better parking lot, more options. The grove street location has a good team that cares too. But this one shoerceded any experience I’ve had anywhere, I mean anywhere!

I appreciated the associates there trying at first to help me but it’s clear they didn’t know how to properly use the tools and follow the procedures for checking in equipment. But the young man and women were distracted the whole time I was there talking to other U-Haul associates on the phone about rental rate increases and the need to update the sign on the wall. This seemed unprofessional to me to have this conversation with customers in the store and for the associates to make the customers wait while they are taking measurements of the sign and relaying those measurements on the phone. Additionally when they did try to help me, the struggled getting the equipment checked in going back and forth between a computer and phone. It was so bad and took so long that it must have upset the U-Haul associate on the phone who was still waiting for his measurements so he could make decals for the rate hikes that he interjected himself into my situation to help them get me handled and out the door. I’m still not sure if everything was checked in right or not. I did get two emails but they could only print me one receipt for one if the items I returned. My overall experience here was terrible and I will never be back to this location again.

The location and customer service man were excellent. The truck was new and clean - only one problem...there was a roof leak on the passenger side roof near the windshield. It rained during our trip and the passenger got wet from the leak. When we stopped for gas, I could see the obvious repair attempt (some kind of white putty), but it didn't worl. Everythign else was great.

I don’t think it was very fair. We rent equipment from here when we need to. We were 30 minutes late on our 24 hr rental and were charged an extra day and insurance. This will make me look elsewhere first the next time we need. Just a heads up

The lady at the counter gave me attitude when I asked for her assistance and help and was nowhere to be found when I went to the counter to request assistance locating the truck. Also, the truck was parked in a way to where I was unable to establish the appropriate pictures and angles of the truck for documenting. I will never recommend this u-haul hub!
