The person who installed our hitch (I'm so sorry I don't remember his name but the appointment was on 10/29/22 at 2pm) was so extremely kind to stay late to do our installation. He tried to reach me by phone several times to let me know my appointment was too late, but I didn't ever check my voice mail and when my partner showed up for our appointment he said he would stay late to do the installation. We were treated VERY well. The initial phone call was directly connected To our chosen location. The call to secure a van, and the call to extend, were handled promptly & professionally. We returned the van completely wiped down inside and the check-in attendant noticed that detail and thanked us. Gal at counter efficient, but could be friendlier/more patient for customer who is new to electronic process. She did re-ask questions that had already been answered in on-line reservation. It sounded more like she didn't know or was just used to asking these questions automatically verses just confirming reservation details. But, overall process was great. Van did have a broken mirror and seat had a burned whole in it, so made sure to verify with guy handing over van. It made me a little nervous that this was not noted in writing, but was not an issue when returned, so ended up fine. He was friendly and efficient. Overall great experience. The man at the desk was very helpful with helping me find my storage unit and even carried my mattress up for me! I forgot to get his name. Tall, beard and caucasian and smiled alot. There was one guy at this location who was one of the most unprofessional, rude and threatening employee. The lady who finally helped said it's just their generation and it's how they act. For example I approached the counter and he said â€œheyâ€ rudely â€œwhat do you wantâ€ I said â€œhey, how about hello or good morning something a little more professional as a representative of U-Haul, I finally said listen I don't want to talk to you, he kept being sarcastic, yelling, being so unprofessional and just yelling loudly and telling everyone. I finally moved over to the lady and he was so mad and yelled at me and was very threatening in his demeanor. He was mad because he could tell I was upset over the lights not working after driving over 3,000, and he doesn't need any customer come in that's upset over their U-Haul experience. Nothing I've ever experienced. But according to the reviews from so many sites, this isn't uncommon. However the lady who finally helped me was very nice and very helpful. But the one person who works at this location her name is Ashley, she was absolutely amazing!!! Thank you Ashley & the lady at the counter.April M.

The assistant manager accused me of smoking and leaving ashes in the cab even though I told him I don't smoke and the ashes was there when I picked up the truck. He said he was going to charge me $100+ for cleaning charges! I went inside and talked to the other employees who said when the vehicle was checked in before my rental the employee responsible for cleaning the pickup didn't clean the cig ashes out! The assistant manager was told this and canceled the cleaning charge! The assistant manager was very rude and refused to listen to me the consumer! I won't be back and will do all I can to deter customers from using Uhaul. Very poor customer service!Roy B.

The staff was so helpful, especially during Covid. During that time, while I was experiencing financial hardship, late fees were waived. Also, Amy called me on months I was late to personally ask why, if I needed more time, and to waive the late fees. It seems like a blur now, but things were so unstable during those Covid months after everything shut down and my unemployment was nine months behind. I will never do business with this facility again. The man behind the counter verbally assaulted me He referred to me as sweetie, darlin, and when I asked to speak to his boss he yelled across the store to his manager “ I’ve got a real Spicey one for you while laughing at me. With other inappropriate comments and he kept laughing at me. The manager was not helpful and accused me of being rude and condescending. And that justified how I was being treated. I feel I was not as I was just asking how the free month of storage went I was cut off immediately and laughed at. There were 2 other men there who just shrugged their shoulders. I own 2 businesses in the area as well as a non profit. We own 2 homes in south eugene. We are always renting uhauls. I believe in the past month or so I have spent a few hundred dollars with this location as we are opening a new salon. I feel your location is volatile and extremely chauvinistic. I believe your manager sets the tone for the environment there. I have never been treated this way before. I will be leaving a google review. Looking through your reviews for this location this should not be anything new to you as it seems you have done nothing to remedy the situation. I will not be going to my storage unit alone ever. THANK YOU STEPH!!!! The only reason I can say anything positive about my experience is because of Steph at the Glenwood location. We ran into an issue at absolutely every moment possible. The first day we got there will all our stuff, the original unit, which we were told would fit a one bedroom apartment (we had a studio), was WAY too small, and Steph had to walk us over and help us find a new one. We loaded everything into the unit and began our 3 week wait for our house. On August 1st our house was ready and we were ready to be moved in only to find the entire parking lot under construction and employees trying to tell us we wouldn’t have access to our unit that day. Steph was the only one who physically walked us around to a back gate so we could access our necessary items for our home. I was expecting to have all our stuff moved out that day which now was impossible, and my partner and I started work the very next day. My partner called and spoke with customer service to ask for an extension for our unit due to the construction and the representative in the scheduling department was extremely helpful. We were then told that the employees had no idea the construction was even happening and it was inconvenient to them as well, which is an awful thing to do to your employees in the middle of the summer on the first of the month. We are finally moved out of our unit and will never ever ever be doing this again. I’ll drive 2 hours to Bend to store my stuff at my friends house before I ever go to a uhaul for storage ever again. Steph you are a ray of sunshine thank you for all your hard work, you really went absolutely above and beyond for us multiple times. The 2 out of 5 stars is for The customer service we received. And was amazing, the gentleman helped us look for a perfect size of storage and was patient and kind. Most storage rooms are upstairs, two flight of stairs and no elevators. I had no choice and had to get this storage since our uhaul was due. I preferred moving storage facilities because we would be working harder not smarter since all of our belongings are extremely heavy. I rated this place a 2 out of 5 because the positive stars go to the customer service representative who was amazing. Not all the people working’ at the branch’s fault but when I arrived I was told my unit was most likely taken, although I had paid for it and had an access code. Apparently the online system overbooks units? Luckily I was able to get one but that is just terrible business practice and puts a terrible burden on your employees who have to turn down people who have reservations. Do better uhaul.
