I get to check into my Storage Unit that I booked weeks in advance, only to find out that it’s not available. I was supposed to have a storage unit reserved. When I got to the uhaul store to unload my u-haul trailer and get the storage unit, I was told I didn't have a unit reserved and that there was no unit. I was upset. I had a loaded uhaul with no where to put my stuff. I had just driven from Arizona to Oregon. The uhaul representative, Jackie, was extremely rude. She said no storage shed was available. She also said she couldn't help me and she didn't care. She said, "I don't care!" Referring to the fact that I didn't have a storage unit. Then she stormed away from her register and called back over here shoulder, "She can figure it out herself! I don't care!" Meaning I could figure out my own storage issues. She left me standing at the register. I found a storage unit else where. Very frustrated with uhaul Still waiting for a call regarding the trailer reimbursement!HEATHER C.

My biggest problem was that our drop off place at Froggies Towing in Springfield, turned out to no longer be a drop off place. It's a $20 charge to use the drop box at Froggies, so I didn't do it, and in the a.m. when I came to return the van again, they said they no longer do the Uhaul, in spite of the sign on the door, and the Uhaul drop box. Also, the sign on the door says 8am-6pm hours, we got there at 9:20 and waited till 10 a.m. for someone at Froggies to open up. They apologized, explained they've quit doing Uhaul and sent us to Eugene, where Uhaul sign is prominently displayed and there are very prompt and efficient personnel.CONSTANCE EVA B.

No one was wearing masks indoors when I picked up the truck and was calling the store for two hours before my return to tell them I needed more time and they never picked up. I spent over 30mins on hold waiting for them to pick up over 3 calls. Ended up getting charged more then I would have been if they answered the phone at all within that two hours. Bad news:Though the staff were great, the office gets a big black mark for telling me the wrong thing about storage rents: I was told that no notice was necessary for vacating the unit, and that our rent would be pro-rated and the unused portion refunded. Not so! When we cleaned out the unit, THEN we were told "oh, sorry we told you that . . . it's not true. Once you have paid the month's rent, there is no refund even if you move out early." I am completely done with U-Haul as there’s a 30 minute wait to speak with a representative. The move in was a joke where I had to push a cart up a steep little hill through a tiny door. I broke at least four plastic bins moving into a 5’ tall unit. This was the most difficult and stressful move in EVER! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. I booked my unit online & thought it may be an easier process than booking in-person but it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I had never been to the location and the gate was a bit hidden with all of the moving trucks in front of it. It would’ve been helpful to know which direction to head to access the gate. Also, it would be helpful to note to customer when online booking is complete that the unit will be ready for customer access and customer is to break the green ties that are holding the doors shut. I was a bit confused as I didn’t know I had authority to break the tie myself and had to request the help of an employee. Amy was so helpful and very nice. The worst thing I saw was employees helping homeless people into the storage facility. I believe some homeless were living in storage units. I saw one bring all his groceries to the unit, including a cooler with ice to keep his milk cold. That really isn’t okay or safe for people who are storing their belongings. First the unit itself was difficult to find when I got to the facility. Drove around for a while before finally deciding to go inside and ask where it was. Then found that there is no parking right in front of the storage building and maybe 5-6 spots that were all taken on the other side so that wasn’t convenient for move in. Then the code we received wouldn’t work to get into the building so had to go back into the office. Finally we were able to look at the unit and it was too small so back to the office to see if they had a different one. They luckily just had one open so we went to that one. They had called it their “big door” but it definitely wasn’t big. It was maybe 5 feet tall and no lighting so hard to see to the back. But at the very back there was a small black box on the floor that said DANGER RAT POISON. I refused to keep my belongings and mattress there so just went BACK to the office and cancelled everything. After being there for an hour and half just trying to move in, I was very frustrated with this storage facility. Called a new one closer to home that had availability and the difference was night and day. I would not recommend this storage facility to anyone.Kyra M. | Online Move In
Overall it was a good move in experience. The lone negatives I would say would be that there isn’t enough staff to help with the check out. The line got kind of long and due to the wait people got unruly. It was busy to the point where I went to another uhaul location just so the staff at glen wood could help the next person. The other thing is that there isn’t an elevator. So if you’re moving furniture, bring a friend with you. Other then those, the unit was really clean. The staff member who helped with how to access the building and show me where my unit was, was super helpful.
