filled tank 1/2 a block away it wouldnt take anymore but was told it was short of being full so charged 4.25. the person that did the original renting paperwork did not explain the charges very thoroughly and ended up paying way more than expected. bad experience and would not rent from this location again. I have rented from u haul many times and this is the first time it has been so much more than expected.

I am a fairly regular customer here. The last couple of times I've been, there is a new young woman training. Elana. She's great! She seems very eager to learn. Very present with customers. A real asset to the company 👍

This location and the service is PRO. I have rented trucks often and I've had terrible service from other Seattle locations. Made reservations - showed up - and no truck - or no one there at all! I will rent from here every time. Friendly - happy- great teamwork- good people. And good hours.

The truck failed to start for several hours. I had to have someone come out hours later to fix it in order to cut and make a new key and replace parts of the ignition.

Everyone that I encountered (and this was 2 trips to the same UHaul in one weekend) was amazingly gracious and helpful. I don't know what you can do to help the next customer at this UHaul, but if other customers complain from other sites, you've got your training staff. Seriously.

There was only one person working at the desk and about 12 people in line so it was a little frustrating. Also the truck I rented had a very rusty door and was sort of dented on the track so the door was VERY hard to pull down unless you got a lot of momentum. I pulled my whole body weight on it and it didn't come down, so thankfully I had more people helping me. The location is kind of sketchy and it would be nice to have an area that is secured where I could leave a car. I just took a Lyft there and back instead, since the desk told me it was not a safe neighborhood to leave a parked car. It was the closet location to downtown Seattle though so that's the one I went to!

I had originally ordered a 5' x 9' trailer but was notified there were none available in my area and had to switch to a 4' x 8' trailer. When the clerk heard about this he said he had a 5' x 8' if I wanted it, so I got the one I wanted. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Fantastic service!

Lynnwood was the original tow dolly pick up location. 48 hrs before pickup we were told we would need to take a ferry to Whidbey Island and drive to Clinton. Told Lynnwood Mgr that was unacceptable, within 20 minutes received an email followed by my verifying phone call that tow dolly was in Lynnwood. Called morning of pickup Mgr said it must have been stolen overnight and he had nothing available. Back on phone with central reservations for the 4th time. After another 30 minute phone call, they had us drive to S Rainer off of I-90 where several tow dollies were available. Clearly the volume of families leaving the Seattle area has negatively impacted U-hauls‘ Service. The local Mgr did nothing to help us, not sure u-haul processes allowed him to. That being said the tow dolly accomplished our goal in the timeframe needed.

The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. When dropping off the truck after using it, there was quite a line of customers and moved very slowly (i.e., I estimate I was in line for ~30 minutes). Three staff members were working diligently to meet each customer's needs, but still so slow. This wait time (especially during the age of Covid, when most don't want to stand around with a crowd of people) could be ameliorated with faster process and with the aid of more reliable/faster technology.

I rented a motorcycle trailer and truck from this location. I drove my motorcycle there, then I drove the truck and picked up another motorcycle, then delivered it home. I then drove the truck back to uhaul. Someone was still there and let me return the keys and truck at 9PM, 2 hours after they close. This saved me an hour and a half of driving, and was super nice. I would have had to get up early to come back. Thanks a bunch!

I arrived to pick up my U-Haul after making the reservation online. When I got to the Rainier Ave location I was greeted by Shedrick who directed me through every step of the rental process, quickly & efficiently! He was kind, respectful & slightly funny =D Next time I need a U-Haul I'll be visiting this location again!

I've been to this location many times and on each occasion, they are understaffed in the morning. Despite doing online check in, all customers still have to wait in line. There is not a kiosk as other locations have for online check in. There were only two staff on duty at 9 am and both were helping customers returning vehicles. So the 6 customers in line waiting to pick up our vehicles did not have any staff to assist with pick up. We waited for about 15 minutes For staff to come inside to assist. And after that they did not prioritize those of us with online check in. So online check in was not much quicker than if we had not checked in online. However, when I returned the truck in the afternoon, there were four staff on site and check out was efficient.

An employee told me they didn't have the equipment (utility and furniture dolly) I had marked on my reservation. He informed me that the word 'reservation' only meant that I was requesting the equipment and did NOT mean they had set the equipment aside for me or that I would get the equipment. They offered instead to sell me a dolly.

Come up with a process to serve customers with. I had arrived prior to two other people, and when others came in behind me, I had to wait for the other customers to be taken care of before I was able to drive away with the truck I rented. Let me be clear, the employees were kind and helpful. There just needs to be a better process to serve customers.

Gas tank was on empty and check engine light was on and then was charged extra when location said I was fine dropping it off 2 hours after the drop off time. This was after I had been asked if I could bring it back roundtrip instead of a one way. Pretty frustrated here.

Improve the U-Haul app so it actually works. This would save time for customers as well as staff. The staff at this location are often very busy taking care of customers who have issues because the app didn't work properly (or they weren't able to use it at all). The "scan and go" function has never worked for me (always says "can't find location") and the truck pick-up and return process is slow and unreliable (I've rented several times). I get frustrated when technology makes my experience worse rather than better.

I am a international student, and I have a name that is hard to pronounce. I was served by a uhaul worker named Shedrick Johnson Jr. He made fun of the pronounciation of my last name, and it made me very angry and uncomfortable. I am very upset about his actions.

It was chaotic there when we arrived with what we think was a shift change or something. The person that helped us was new and really nice but the other person who was just starting their shift was a real jerk with a terrible attitude. An employee like that poisons the well . Although we had checked in ahead of time it still took us 30 minutes to get our trailer hooked up.

Very slow service, not sure if it was lack of workers on site or some other issue but I will not return to this location. Additionally, had many many problems with reserving truck. Reservations cancelled, moved to locations that are too far from me. I'll likely never use U haul again

I tried using the mobile pickup option through the app and that part of it was a horrible experience. Despite me standing there and talking to one of the employees I had to give it a contact and wait for them to call the contact to check that I was a real person. After that I still had to go inside to retrieve the key. All in all it took me close to 45 minutes to get a truck using the app when my previous experience picking up a Uhaul at the counter took probably more like 10 minutes.

Waited 30 minutes to be helped when I had an appointment to pickup a uhaul. Then the uhaul was parked behind 3 other uhauls that had to be moved. The uhual assigned to us was out of water for the radiator, and within 2 miles began overheating (the h/c gauge, then the engine light came on. We were within 2 miles of the original location, uhaul road side took 2 hours to come help (they were great), and wasn't able to get helped by calling the original location (was on hold for 15+ minutes without getting through to anyone, multiple times). The overall experience was bad, the place wasn't busy, which I could understand if that were the case. I've had positive experiences previously with uhaul, but will probably never go back to this location. This was for an in city move, so I wasn't going far and expected it to be quite painless.

Despite what the web site says, there is no 24-hour access. The trucks are also very old and poorly maintained.

I've been serviced from this location so many times because my moves were always close to this location. When I finally went to other locations, I noticed this isn't the normal service level. They're always short staffed. There's always a line and you can guarantee that you'll be there at least 20 mins. The staff is friendly and helpful and if you're prepared before going in, you will get out quickly when they do service you. But other locations I've been to have more than just two people on hand and I spend less time there.

service was very, very slow. I stood in line to pick up my truck for 45 minutes with only two customers in front of me. Returning the truck was just as bad. I used the Rainier Avenue South U-Haul in Seattle. I don't recommend them.

The work that the lady at the counter is doing is outstanding. She is constantly multitasking with very little help, so more power to her. U-haul will perhaps do better by making technology more conducive and user-friendly for its staff so that they may accommodate reasonable and logical customer requests promptly.
