This experience was all around a nightmare. I booked a truck online and chose a secondary drop of location- when I picked up the truck today I was told it was not booked that way. I was offered a much smaller truck if I wanted to change the reservation- but I would have never been able to move all my things in a one trip with a smaller truck. I was warned profusely to check the gas gauge because gas is being stolen from this location in the middle of the night- being syphoned. I was told in length, twice, about a gas credit I would receive of $35-40 if i returned the car with a quarter tank in the event the gas had been so token the night before. When I turned the truck on, the gas tank was off slightly at just less than half a tank. I took a picture and changed the meter on the app. However, not two miles down the road the gas gauge dipped to E- and the gas light came on. I took a photo of the new reading and called the uhaul store immediately. I was told it would be fixed on my account. I had to stop almost immediately to fill the tank at a gas station. Upon dropping the truck off- I was questioned about the changing gas gauge. I showed a picture with a time stamp of 9:18am of the empty gas tank and the manager said I was dispatched at 8:50. I guarantee I did not drive off a half of a tank of gas in 22 minutes- nor was I driving the entire duration of time. I was told I would only get a gas credit of $24 and that my new total was over three times the original estimate. I was not informed today that I would be charged by mile- overall, I'm very disappointed in UHaul. I found the behavior of the employees to be incredibly disrespectful and rude and not accommodating at all.JAMIE L.

The description for my unit is misleading. I only reserved this unit because the listing said there’s an elevator to my unit. I still have to use stairs. There is also a rat trap in my unit. The trap says not to move it. Clearly, not too ideal for a 5x5 storage unit to have valuable floor space taken. I will be writing reviews on google and Yelp regarding this.Tyler G. | Online Move In

Initially reserved 15 foot at UHaul of Burien. Confirmed but did not receive a 15 foot truck due to system and other reasons of truck not being there. Later was transferred to West Seattle branch because Burien UHaul said West Seattle have it available. West Seattle branch tells me the 15 foot is not available, only have 10 foot available. Waited over 45 mins on the check-out process due to system problems on the UHaul computers. Need to make 2 moving trips because 15 foot truck was not available. Waste of time, money, and energy.Rui Z.

Website never asked for a second form of identification, but did when I tried to 'pick it up' I ended up supplying my drivers license twice...once via a text message ahead and then another when I got there...very weird to promote something that you can't do...carl B.

Eva (or Eve if I spelled it wrong, I'm sorry!) and her perfect puppy companion and EVERYONE on shift on the 12th of December/13th was so kind and personable and SAVED. MY. MOVE. No kidding. I would have been absolutely pretzeled into focaccia without the truck, without the affordable price, the kindness of driving back and getting stuck in construction traffic and then Eva being so kind if we were a few minutes lateâ€”EVERYTHING. They were so kind and professional, even when I asked the same question in a few different ways; they just made sure everything would be there and that I was covered and safe. Even made sure to tell me the most affordable and close place to REFILL THE GAS TANK to make sure I saved money (cause I was working with a budget and they wanted to make sure I was ready for any other costs :) All in all, I was surprised and elated at the service and dedication at the 35th ST and SW Morgan ST. Please give them some overtime, overdue raises, exciting training and opportunities that can give them more out of life and job, with all of my kindness and respect for all of youâ€”-you all really have a FANTASTIC team. After being rescheduled twice, I had a very unpleasant, tedious, and unwelcoming experience with a manager named Reed when I arrived for my reservation. All communications prior to arrival referenced an online check-in process (which I followed) to save time and abide by COVID regulations, but that was entirely pointless and had to be replicated in person. I wouldn't have minded if the customer service had been at all friendly, but it wasn't and I don't intend to ever use this location again.Elias B.

Wanted to give a shout out to two of your employees: Dennie who attached the trailer to my vehicle was so friendly and upbeat, despite the fact that it was pouring rain, and didn't rush us and gave us safety tips. When we returned the trailer (still pouring rain) Andy was very professional, friendly and juggling several vehicles all by himself and provided a very smooth checkout. Price at store way almost double as quoted online which was not cool. Digital/touch less/person-less reservation experience didn't seem possible.l even though that's what I selected. Checkout process was not super pleasant. After being directed where to park, the guy just disappeared. I went inside to ask what to do next and was then told to move the van to a different area. I then was told to fold the rented moving blankets myself + transport the dolly to the back of the garage myself which was kind of strange. The women who directed me to do this was pleasant and communicated that she had some back issues but there really should've been someone to help her. All in all, it was just a strange, unorganized, uncommunicative experience that could so easily be fixed with just more communication + cohesiveness between the website and that store. regarding my ranking of no on question y (recommending) u-haul storage - i would totally recommend based on Q1 thru Q5, but in my situation the rank is solely a cost reason. $194/mo is high for my needs (i really don't care too much about the contents anyway, and locker is bigger than necessary).... Move in was very easy but little information is provided as to where you need to enter. It also states vastly different hours on the website than reality. It was a major consideration when renting the unit only to find out it is limited to business hours, not the stated after hours access. I feel deceived and therefore do not feel I should be paying as much as I am. It is much harder for me to use this unit without the stated hours. Overall experience at the facility was great. The negative is that I had to drive there to confirm/'rent now' for the booking. The online system only 'reserved' but not guaranteed the booking - that felt misleading and created a sense of unease had I not followed up prior to the date I expected my reserved two storage units to be available. The gentlemen I spoke with showed on his end the two units I reserved but they were not visible for me to rent now online so I had to drive there to complete the booking.
