We were told a less expensive option was not available for rental because there was a reservation. This was at 3:30 in the afternoon and the store closed at 5:00. So we had no choice but to rent a more expensive truck. When we returned the truck at 5:20 that same evening, the other truck was still there. That is definitely not good customer service.Desi K.

If I reserve a truck or trailer, don't change my reservation without letting me know. I reserved a 26' truck and when I arrived the reservation was changed to a 20' truck, yet I was never informed of it being changed.. this resulted in me making more trips and using more gas and miles. Only suggesting would be to reduce the time it takes to get approved by the agent or to create a way to access the truck without human contact e.g. Lockbox for the key on outside of truck.William H.
Nothing. I used UHaul's U-box service 2 yrs ago when moving from CA also.... For this need, I had 2 large couches to pick up. Laura(sp) assisted me over the phone and was very patient with an old (74) lady. The next day for pick up and drop off was the same. All the staff at Uncle Dan's were great! WILL use again.diane C.
The experience getting the van was great but the rental was way too expensive. I wouldn't have used u-haul except I had no other options. The cost per mile was ridiculous in my opinion. A simple trip to pick up furniture ended up costing more than the furniture did.Shane J.

Customer service was excellent! Vehicle was clean and trouble free. Three stars instead of five due to 1) Online reservation process takes too long and asks for photo of driver's license both to make the reservation and again at check in, which seems invasive and redundant. 2) The vehicle was only 1/4 full of gas when received and I was asked to bring it back 1/4 full as well, which I didn't like. I spent $10 more at the gas station than I had to trying to hit the 1/4 mark before returning the vehicle (ended up 3/8 full). I am tempted to think the "bring it back 1/4 full" policy is intended to to net U-Haul extra gasoline, particularly in Oregon where it is illegal to pump your own. Left a bit of a bad taste in my mouthChristopher W.

Not the fault of the franchise location, but we lost an hour of rental time due to daylight savings. We ended up really needing that hour and had to scramble unnecessarily. We contacted uhaul help and they couldn't do anything. It would be nice for the rental system to account for DST.Gregory S.

This is not a full service haul center, it is a neighborhood store. I wasn't aware of that. It wasn't an issue for me. The location was very convenient for my move and the staff was super friendly and helpful!Charles C.
The ladies that were at the front desk were fantastic! My wife and I had a permasmile the entire time we were there. Then one of the guys came from the back and he was equally as awesome! I would gladly drive an hour to work with this location for Uhaul and tire services!!!Melissa M.

Although I had made the reservation 3 weeks ahead, it did not seem likely that I would get the 26' truck where/when I had reserved based on the initial phone call from the U-haul rep. This was very upsetting and I was forced to come up with a back-up plan. The issue improved dramatically the next day and a truck became available although I had to drive 2 hours to/from an alternate location. All other aspects of the rental were outstanding.Robert S.

This suggestion is for the IT department at U-haul.com. The way you worded the application for rental equipment suggested that one MUST take a picture of your drivers license and send it by email to reserve a vehicle. I had great difficulty with that and eventually decided to just go in and apply in person. There are a lot of people who didn't get that class when they went to school. I would suggest you provide instructions and trouble shooting advice on how to transfer pictures from your phone to your computer.Daniel S.
