The remote pickup location was a dirt lot with abandoned cars being stripped down by next door homeless tents. The cellphone service is nonexistent and the Uhaul app would not open for me at the location. I had to Uber back out of the area to get the lockbox code, there was no way I was going to walk through a large homeless encampment to get out from behind the raised highway that was blocking the cell towers. The truck was filthy with beer cans and debris in the box. I was going to pickup the truck and drive east, away from rush hour traffic and instead had to drive west in crawling traffic to go to the UhAul dealer that I have been dealing with for 25 years and had many units at. It was also the location where the original reservation was made at for picking up the rental truck. I was made aware of the change by email a few days after making the reservation while I was out of the country and had no way to respond. I have since evacuated my storage units with Uhaul and will be using Penske for my truck needs

Place I pick up UHaul was so dirty didn’t want to touch anything and Representative sent email In Spanish and we are American Natives also had drop at WRONG location Scottsdale Arizona while it supposed to be in Gallup New Mexico a 5 hour difference of drop off point and we were charged additional $35 for wrong drop off Stupid!!!

When picking up the 20' Uhaul that I reserved I realized the very next day that both the outside right rear tire and outside left rear tire were both completely flat almost to the point the tire could have come off the wheel. When picking up the vehicle we also learned the gas level was almost below the empty line which should absolutely NEVER be the case when renting a vehicle. Because of the tire issues I ended up getting on the road almost 3 hours late which caused me not to get to my LA designation until midnight. Unfortunately because of being 3 hours past my original arrival date I was not able to check into the facility. I was finally able to find a hotel that had a room available at 1:30AM which ended up costing me $279 dollars that I NEVER anticipated spending. As a business owner myself If I had provided this type of experience to ANY of my clients I would have immediately credited back ALL funds to their account and apologized for any inconvenience this may have caused them.

change the method for calculating amount of gas. when I picked up the truck, it said 129 miles to empty. put gas in before dropoff, said 149 miles to empty. was charged for 3 gallons of gas. current method is quite ambiguous.
