Regarding the rate above BELOW AVERAGE, is for the store located on Broward Blvd. and NOT Value Store on 1124 W. Sunrise Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33311 where I've picked up the Cargo Van. The store on Broward Blvd. is the WORST experience anyone can have. Long lines, few employees, they work like turtles and to make it disgracefully worse, one can NEVER rely on the reservation there. It's type to recycle. Get younger people to work, eager to work and deliver faster service. On June 19 was the THIRD time it happened to me. I reserved a Cargo Van 10 days before pick-up date, and NOT to my surprise, the day of the pick- up... they didn't have the van available. Three times is enough! Next time I will sue the company instead of going crazy, frustrated and get headaches. Someone must sue the hell of U-Haul for negligence and for being unreliable. YES, I would recommend the VALUE STORE on Sunrise Blvd. and never the U-Haul on Broward Blvd. As a matter of fact, I will post in every social media that I have alerting people what making reservation on the store on Broward Blvd. means.

I have rented from this location several times. It’s always awful. In fact, that’s why I made my reservation for a different location (321 SW 6th St, Fort Lauderdale). When I showed up at that other location to pick up my truck they had no record of my reservation despite showing them the confirmation email. I called UHaul and they told me my pickup location and time had been changed to the 1124 W Sunrise location at 9:30 (instead of 8:30). I was understandably very upset about this, phone support was rude and not apologetic in any way. I get to 1124 W Sunrise and the location is closed with shutters until 9 am. An employee shows up at 9:10 to open and realizes she doesn’t have the keys to the store. There is another employee inside the location but he won’t open the door. I find out later it’s because he’s autistic and for some reason the other employee is not allowed to ask him to open the door. We wait outside until 9:30 when another employee shows up to open the door. Doesn’t say anything to anyone. You could tell he was annoyed, but didn’t care that it was the customers standing outside for 30-45 minutes who were most upset. During this entire time there’s not a single apology or attempt to make this debacle right from anyone. I’m now more than an hour late while I have people I’m paying for assistance at my location doing nothing but run up my bill. I get the truck and one of the headlights is smashed, the windshield and entire truck are covered in a thick layer of bird shit and bugs where visibility is affected. I was so late at that point I didn’t care and had to leave. The customer service at this location is absolutely horrendous. I loathe having to pick up trucks from here. Phone support and in person support are all rude.

BRIAN MProcess was very smooth. Truck was clean and ran well good maintenance on it. Instructions were very clear through the pick up and drop off process so there were no extra steps or precautions you had to take, loved that. Only complaint i have is i ordered 2 dolly’s and furniture pads for an extra almost $40 but they were not in the truck like it stated on the instructions so i was over charged. It was a holiday that i used the truck so the actual building was closed so i will call the location first thing in the morning for a refund. that could have easily been a simple human error so it’s no big deal to me but ik someone else would make it a big deal so just look out for that next time so there are no inconveniences for the next buyer. Other than that everything was perfect.

ALI TIf someone is using the app for pickup, allow them to take a selfie and register their license BEFORE arriving at uhaul pickup spot so they are not standing around on their phone with their license out next to a busy road. Thats not safe. Trucks also had back hatch open and one truck had a homeless person inside of it.

Matthew NAlejandro who was the Uhaul rep at the counter during the time of my rental was not very clear on all the charges. I advised him I'd be going out of state and would not return the vehicle to the Ft. Lauderdale location at which point he put in the system only 15miles stating it would be cheaper this way. He also stated that we were able to return the van at any location and would only be charged any additional mileage.I was charged an additional $2,900 for the rental being returned out of state. When I called customer service to try to update the location, payment the representative told me she couldn't help me she transfered my call to another rep who stated she couldn't help me but she was nice enough to get the return location. This whole move was hectic but uhaul was misleading in the pricing. Will not be renting again.

Jon MOn Saturday, October 26, it was raining heavily in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale. Unfortunately, all my clothes and furniture got soaked because the U-Haul truck likely had a hole in the ceiling. I’d estimate that about 70% of my belongings are wet, and it will probably take around a week for them to dry completely. On top of that, everything now has a bad odor. Please fix ceiling of the truck.

Jolene MI had to wait at the front door for a few minutes before someone let me in. The truck was a 26 foot model not the 20 foot as I reserved which used more gas and was harder to drive and park due to its length . The truck ride terribly. Every bump in the road threw my furniture up in the air. I reserved 12 blankets and they had none.
