The 15' truck that we used on 10/30/21 was absolutely disgusting. The whole thing smelled like a zoo/corn processing facility. Most of the cargo floor was sticky with who knows what, and while I swept out what the last customer had left behind, I counted 3 live cockroaches and 5 dead ones. WTF?!? All I can assume is that the last person to use this particular truck is a hoarder who also has a crapload of neglected animals that rode in the back of the truck using the floor as their toilet. And it is obvious that nobody at the pick up location physically looked at or smelled the truck before they rented it out to the next customer, and if they did and thought â€œthis is totally acceptableâ€, they should be retrained or fired. I'm sure this is not the UHaul corporation's fault, but I will NEVER use UHaul again! Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable!!DANIEL B.

The cables in the door to the truck did not work properly so after we opened the truck and put things in it we could not close it anymore. When I called to tell we needed a new truck, I was told to contact someone online and submit a roadside assistance claim and they would send someone to fix it and then if needed would get us a new truck. I did not want to wait for all that to happen so instead we had to secure the furniture inside and left the door open and made extra trips which took us longer and was more dangerous and more of a hassle. I think if something gets broken then the store should be able to accommodate the customer instead of having to go through the process of contacting a separate person.NIKKI G.

I was late for work because they would not accept my trailer return this morning. It was due to the fact that they had too many on their lot but there were plenty of space left. I had to drive to another location even after I informed them that I already did not have enough time. Then they went on their smoke break. Today is 8/23/21. I needed up returning at Gentry Auto, she was excellent and was very helpful.STEVE C.

The movers showed up and wouldn't put anything on the truck because they saw roaches. I returned the truck and was refused a refundCathy P.
Terrible return experience. The staff asked me to return the van to an alternate location because their site was full, despite the fact that I was parked in a spot and there were at least a couple more open. I returned the van to the location they specified. The next morning I was charged $214 for returning to the wrong location. Why is a "full" lot the customer's problem? The staff needs training. They should have known returning the van to a different location would result in charges. They also shouldn't ask customers to solve their problems.Brian B.

The actual pick up and drop off locations were great. I have a problem with the preferred locations and Uhaul company it self how they handle thing and how any phone number I called which were 5 different numbers and only 2 answered after 30 mins of hold and one got hung up on.JANEEN E.
The 6x12 trailer needs some type of device to assist in getting on and off hitch. The agent in Macomb is pregnant and I needed assistance getting the trailer off the hitch. Luckily the location is near a gas station and we got help. Equipment assistance device should be a standard.David B.

We had the trailer hitch upside down upon arrival. Even though I asked if it was correct, it wasn't correct. Four hours into the trip, I stopped and corrected the way the hitch was set up because it was obviously not right. The U-Haul renter should have told me to change it before we hooked up. I set everything up online through the step by step process. I figured I could just pop in and pick up the trailer I rented that way? Upon arrival the info I filled out was I recovered other than my reservation number and time? I was informed there wasn't a drop off location where I was going and would have to drop off at a different location than I requested. I then looked up the location in Inver Grove Heights on my phone and had to personally show it to the attendant. Unfortunately after much confusion, multiple phone calls to a manager & an hour and a half of waiting I was finally allowed to take the trailer.RICHARD B.
The only thing to improve is just make sure customers know where to return the vehicle. They have two separate lots and it was a bit confusing.Suzanne F.
The guy at wash n win, I didnt think was knowledgeable about how to do the Uhaul. Someone had to tell him how to do things. He told me that it had 3/4 of gas in the truck which was not true i took a picture of it, but I put 3/4 back in it. I rented it for 3 days and asked if I would be refunded if brought back early. The guy snickered and said maybe.I took it back after 2 days. There was a low tire on it. Also, had to go across town to pick up Uhaul. i told the attendant at Appollo that the turn signal light on drivers side was falling out. I just felt that it was very unorganized and added stress to a move that didnt need to be.DONNA F.

The drop off destination was far better than the pickup. At least this places employees seemed to know what they were doing. Also, the equipment they had on premises looked very clean and maintained versus the equipment I had.Travis G.
