The company White Glove that Uhaul recommended was horrible. I would like to leave a review on them after they have done the job and not during. They damage many pieces of my furniture and didn't know until I unloaded.susan P.

What's new with a particularly difficult one I have been in contact with you all day every day after my original drop off day I when I went to return the U-Haul I had called that morning to let them know that the storage building had been giving me a hard time getting into their facility since Saturday and she was not on empathetic and even try to go through her car ride to prove I didn't fall when I had proof that I actually did try to call her and got voicemail left a message she insisted that I was a liar. I have been storing things that we're storage since I was a teenager now I'm 47 never had I had a more rude conversation with anyone I understand the covid-19 so hot and so overwhelmed with everything sweeping out the truck with my last tour she would not allow me into the air conditioning even after I told her that I was unable to breathe and thought I was going to have a stroke she insisted I stay outside I was not allowed again no empathy whatsoever and this is my hometown it was embarrassing on her part the way she displayed herself I asked her nicely and after I explained the situation about not being able to the storage building starting Saturday should have the truck back Friday call was unable to reach you this difficulty with the other competitors storage building that was three to four extra days on my bill sadly I could not control again no empathy gave me the bill told me to sign it while I was outside three times not to come into your AC even though I was pouring sweat and breathing heavy. I have always recommended when are stored for friends that have located relocated move my family uses whatever story I will no longer refer to a storage building while after what has happened with winter scores and their competitors Storage King.Jennifer C.

I reserved a 26 ft truck 5 days before I needed it. Less than 24 hours before I needed it, I was called by Uhaul saying they didn't have what I reserved but they could give me a smaller truck with a trailer at the truck price of $19.95 ans the trailer at no cost. Because I needed the truck for the movers I paid, I accepted that. I arrived to Winters where there was a 26 ft truck there but the person who reserved it had not come and picked it up yet per Donna. I did not expect the trailer to be as small as it was and there was no way I could have used it as I had told the Uhaul rep the day before I was moving large furniture. Donna stated to me twice "take it or leave it" which is extremely rude and inconsiderate. I also had ordered a furniture dolly and she said "I didnt read where it said furniture so that's what you get is the other dolly". I already have one of those and needed the other one to move my furniture. Then, upon leaving, I was told there would be a charge for the trailer. She advised she would not charge me for the trailer and would contact Uhaul regarding that. My receipt says I was charged.. I did not receive a call before she charged my card. After leaving, I realized how much more of an inconvenience it was to have the trailer and attempted to call the Williamson Rd location 4 times where no one answered. I called Donna and asked if I could drop the trailer off there and she then told me to call them myself. I advised I called many times before with no answer and asked if she would call for me. She called and told me a lady named Nene was there and to speak to her when I got there. I get to the Williams Rd location where they had no idea I was coming and there is no Nene at that location. So she lied to me. This has been a horrible experience all around. From Uhaul calling me telling me I could not receive what i reserved, to being told I would pay one price, to having absolutely awful customer service and again not getting what I ordered and then being overcharged. I cannot say I would use Uhaul or recommend Uhaul to anyone. Especially not from Vinton, VA.TORYRHEA A.

The place was clean, the truck was clean. The girl working there was so friendly & helpful. She explained everything to me that I needed to know. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs to rent a Uhaul truck!!!!Ginger H.
Tell them up front that should they pay with CASH you are going to charge them a $100 deposit! I even asked if I could pay cash (twice) but none of your facilitators bothered to tell me that I would be charged extra! And I drove 5 hours to get the truck on limited funds. Thank God I had friends who could loan me the money! What if I hadn't been able to make that deposit!? Don't lie and tell them the drop off location will give them their CASH deposit back when they drop it off!! It now will take me 5 to 7 business days to get my deposit back. Oh...and why dont you tell them that they dont have to pay the added $43 for insurance because with their good personal car insurance. .should an accident happen. .they only have their deductable to pay. Am I a happy newbie to UHaul? Absolutely not!!! Plus...the truck was left with about 30/40 dollars in extra gas that of course.. I get to eat that one too.Donna M.

The lady who took care of my paperwork for the uhaul I rented was very rude to me. The gas level was not what she had on this truck. The windows of the truck were not up all the way and it was raining. When I got into the truck and started it, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. She made a comment that I smelled like smoke. I hadn't been in the truck before. I didn't get the womans name, but she was very rude and dishonest. She did not do a walk around with me before I got into the truck, so she had no idea what the previous renter of the truck had done to the truck. I would not reccomend uhaul at this location to anyone, and I will never rent another uhaul truck again. I will use Penske if u have a future need for a moving truck.Sharon H.

I booked a truck from the location .25 miles from my home a month in advance. 5 minutes after booking uhaul rep called and said there were no trucks at that location and I had to go across town to hershberger rd location. Also got email confirming this. On day on pick up I drove across town to pick up truck and the man told me it was not at that location it was at the location near my home. Got to that location and they had switched the 2 truck rentals for that day and had to fix, luckily they did have a truck. This process took 2 hours. Time I could have spent moving. It would have been nice to have a rep call or email the day before to tell me the rental location was changed back to the original location I wanted to rent from.Kelly R.

At last minute, smaller truck was delivered instead. None of the moving supplies (Dolley, furniture Dolley, wrappings) were in the truck and I got charged for missing items( hopefully that will be resolved soon.)June W.

first off i have rented from u-haul in the past and this was my worst experience. first it started when i call ed the 800 reservation line. the two reps I talked too were not concerned about my needs, they were only in it to get my credit card info and book the reservation. they were very rude and would not let me ask any questions until I told them to be quite so i could talk to them. the second problem was in vinton when i picked up the trk. the battery was dead and luckliy they had another truck. also i was not told where to bring the trk back to and had to call the 800 number.they had no idea why i was calling and was finally told where to return the truck. this info had been given to me upon leaving where i rented from. the place i rented from could not get the resv switced to the other trk until after i left and when i turned in the trk the person had no idea whet was going on. this is the last time i will be renting from you and you probably dont care , but my friends and family will.Larry B.

The gas rate is higher than Uhaul on Hershberger road in Roanoke, thus my bill in Vinton at Winter's was more than Hershberger in Roanoke. I made 2 trips with each truck rental but had further to return the Hershberger rental but it was less. Not clear how this happened.sandra W.

Fuel level was not accurate. She circled on contract but apparently did not enter into system. This location could not determine my drop-off location, it was not in any email confirmations. I could not login to uhaul website due to errors on the website. (Which started with reservation system errors that support had to be involved with - not a reflection on this location but on uhaul computer infrastructure).Brendan H.

I have used uhaul in 26 moves If I don't get my money back I will not use them again. I have another move in 2 weeks if they dont give me a refund.
