The main Uhaul reservation system is flawed. Uhaul takes the reservation, but rarely if ever keeps the exact reservation. The system needs a complete rework for better customer service. Otherwise, disappointment and frustration will continue for Uhaul customers.Robert R.

The team at this place was completely friendly and sincere. I failed to document a windshield nick but when I let them know when I returned the vehicle, they trusted the customer (me) instead of taking the chance to manipulate the situation which would have been easy. I was over charged ! The initial charge was $60 and I took truck from 3pm to 5:10pm. They charged me $133. I called the whole day trying to get some answers and explanation and no one picked up . The whole day! I always use UHaul but this was the worst experience ever ! I feel robbed!!JACOB K.

With this rental, I interacted with two staff members. Upon check-in, I worked with a very energetic young man. He was very knowledgeable and quickly got me on my way. The truck that I picked was more than a perfect for the job. Just when you think it couldn't get any better . . . . . . Returning the next morning, I was met by an incredible young lady and her broad, beautiful smile. Check-out was quick, simple and efficient. I have had a few mixed experiences with Uhaul, however, this one was seamless.Steve M.

Great equipment, extremely poor communication at rental location .. I was told that we could return truck till 6 pm instead of 5 when i asked if i couldn't make it by 6 that we would probably be charged for an extra day if they tried to change the rental period to the app. Well i got charged for an extra day when i checked in at 5:17 . I actually got there at 5;04 . by the time I had to wait for the nursery trucks to turn around to self park and gather my belongings and get in my truck and pull up to the office and walk in the office it was 5:17. So much for a day rental. We had the truck for 6.75 hours. (actually waited for the agent to come inside to check out , that took 20 min at least to leave the premises.Tim T.
Do not use this location or do any business with the onsite manager Jorge Garcia. He was contacted by the police to contact me regarding an insurance claim and he has continually ignored my request to call me on this insurance matter. I have left messages on his voice mail and his employee has texted him numerous times to phone me. In addition, I have disputed his reading of my fuel tank level after I dropped the truck off at his location. Instead of discussing this dispute he charged me $80 for a refuel contract specification without addressing my explanation of why his reading of the fuel gauge was incorrect. There is no excuse imaginable for this arrogant, rude behavior. He must believe I am attacking him to proceed as he has. All phone calls and messages will verify my version of these events. Never again will I use or recommend u-haulRichard W.

Oliver Hogue. Remember that name. He took an experience that would have been rated as VERY POOR and turned it around for U-Haul. Here's how. First he came to my aid when your mobile app could not. This was my first time using it and I will never make that mistake again. It is not user friendly. I had to go in and out of it to verify information you already had. It froze up on me at one point and when I used the chat option to ask for help, I was told to go online. ONLINE!!! When I did get my key to the truck I was told not to leave the yard by the app without recording the mileage. I never got to that point because the defroster would not work and the windshield was covered with ice. So, even though I did not report the mileage, returned the key to the box (it was an early morning pickup). I was told after calling your 1-800 number for help that the vehicle as already DISPATCHED! How can that happen! I worked with your associates over the phone over a series of calls because 1) It appeared no one I spoke with had the authority to make the decisions necessary to resolve my problem, or 2) when being transferred to others who supposedly could help me, the calls dropped and I had to call back. I was supposed to be off the lot by 7:30 a.m. That did not happen. That's where Oliver Hogue came in. Mr. Hogue was assisting for another employee at this location. I was waiting for it to open at 10 a.m. and he saw me outside in my vehicle and came out to see if he could help. We went back inside and he took my contract, got me a different truck and got me out of there to get my job done. It was two and a half hours later, but his positive attitude and empathy went a very long way in reducing my stress and dissatisfaction. As I said, he was not the regular employee at the Apache Drive facility. His regular location was -- I believe -- Cube Smart. The bottom line is this. He was there helping another third party employee representing U-Haul. He did his job with professionalism and concern for me, a U-Haul customer. If I ever need services from U-Haul again, I will go online to reserve my vehicle only. I will never use your app. And I will always look for people Like Oliver Hogue who represent you so well!!Thomas S.

Fortunately I had a really short (20 miles total on the rental) in town move. However, I was a little peeved that the truck only had a 1/2 tank of gas when received. Had I had a much longer move, I'd have had to fill the tank twiceâ€¦. Just a suggestion/share for the next person.Jeff F.
If you have a choice on a different location, take it. This location has the worse customer service ever. The desk person named Ann, very unprofessional and rude, they only care about making money and not providing good service. U-Haul should think very hard about the entities and people that represent them. Don't be fooled with the rental policy, when you rent a truck you have not only the time selected but 24hrs from the time of rental, read the contract, it is clear on it. The U-Haul representative (not the rental location) stated most rental locations rent based on the 24hr window, but this location will rent the same truck on the hour. You can estimate your time when moving but most of the time it could take a little longer. I have used U-Haul services for many years, and this location is the worse I have ever encountered. Specially Ann, she needs major training in customer service and professionalism. Good luck if you end up choosing this location.Johnny C.

The lady in the storage center was nice, helpful. The online check in process is a joke. I wanted to pick the vehicle up before the location opened to get a head start on moving, but the identity verification chat kicked me out of the check in process. I couldn't find the vehicle, it ended up being behind the storage center gate so I had to wait until they were open anyway. When I called your customer service number (since I couldn't find the truck) she said I could either go to another location further away (not cool to have to pay extra mileage so I said no) or wait until the storage center opened. She told me they didn't open until 10, turns out they open at 9:30. From the time I got there to do the online check in, until I was able to go in and talk to the lady that worked at the storage center, it took an hour & 1/2 to get the truck. 1) this was the 3rd U-Haul location I was told to visit as the 1st two â€˜didn't have the truck that was supposed to come back'. This was an extra 20 miles away from the existing location I requested. Granted, U-Haul stated they would give me a $50 â€œguaranteeâ€. Still not sure what that means. I also requested a hand truck (dolly) and a furniture cart-dolly to move the larger things. Pickup was super simple and easy. Drop-off was another story. Unfortunately, because of the added time to take to get to the location, I didn't have enough time to return during office hours. I tried to drop off the truck through the website. It was requiring me to create an account and log in. I create an account it says my password is incorrect. I try to reset the password. Incorrect password. I call up U-Haul, says it'll take 15-20 minutes to get ahold of someone. I download the app, the app is undergoing maintenance and I can't log in. I finally go back to the website and recreate a password that I can't remember and it logs me in. I say how much gas is in the truck and then nothing else except â€˜back to account' button. When I click that, it takes me to a white screen. What a mess.TODD S.
The only suggestion I would have is for a bit of customer parking, especially for in town moves. I thought I'd be able to leave my car there for a couple of hours until we brought the truck back, but couldn't even park to get the truck checked in. Had to wait on the street. Also, no moving blankets were available because another customer took ALL of them. Other than that, experience was excellent, and both staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in and check out were easy, truck was accessible and clean, and everything was on time for our reservation. Thank you!SARA G.

I rented from this location. There was nobody there when I got the truck and I took photos of mileage and gas in addition to what was stated in the contract. I used it for 24 hours but upon return the billing was way off. They charged me extra time...about 20 bucks and 40 for fuel even though I returned it with more than what I got initially. So I was overcharged 60 dollars. I use uhaul regularly and as a company they rectified the situation however this location should be investigated for fraudulent charges because many people may not notice or check their bills when they're moving as its a stressful and expensive time anyway. Imagine how much a few extra bucks go across multiple customers and dates. I hope this review causes some questioning because it's poor practice and damages tye company reputation. It's only because I have so much experience with uhaul that I know it's only this location...but otherwise I would just use a different company to avoid the inconvenience.Andrew S.

I picked up the rental @10 AM on 12.31.2021 and returned before 4pm on 12.31.2021. When I got into the truck, I noticed that the gas was not @75% capacity as paperwork showed , came back try to ask before driving away, and nobody was there. I drove approximately 12 miles, as the distance between 2 locations I need was less than 4 miles. I added about 1.5 gallon of gas before returning, since that was more than I used for 12 mile drive. Your employee charged me more than $45 for my 12 mile ride. Also, do you charge $39.95 for 1 day and 6 hours ? I tried to explain her the situation, she said I should have checked the gas tank before leaving and it's all my responsibility. I did check and tried to talk to someone before leaving, but could not find anyone. Moving is not easy, and I have a lot choices for my moving needs, but if I am being charged more than $45 for 12 mile driving , I will never use U-haul again, and I will not recommend your services to any of my friends and family. I hope someone will read this and call Me @ 757-202-5870 to discuss . I will also report this location to a Better Business and will add my comments online. You did ruin my day.RUFAT G.
