When a customer rents a vehicle to move goods there's usually a timeline. I arrived only to find out the van that I was to rent hadn't been returned yet and it was well after my 9 a.m. appt. By the time the van rental was switch to a 10' box truck, I lost 45 minutes in my schedule. I left with no paperwork, no instructions as to how to return the key since I was returning the box truck that evening. I brought the key home with me to return this morning, tried to leave a message with the rental site and the voicemail was full. The truck's windshield was really dirty, the CSR hosed it off at my request but it was still dirty with bugs and more. The inside of the cab was decent but not really clean. After receiving a text from U-Haul to get a photos of the vehicle before leaving, I was well-underway, however, I don't text, I have an old flip phone that doesn't have WiFi connection and had better things to do. Why doesn't the site provide this type of service? I should have received a paper copy of the contract before leaving, that way I would have had a phone # to call when I had questions and concerns.
