The owner was polite and helpful, he has been in auto repair business for 40 years and a vendor for uhaul for 33 years However the 25vfoor truck I rented for an 180 roundtrip. Upon inspecting truck for damages exceeding average use I proceed on my way with gas level below 1/4 tank. Several issues became apparent, first being very loose steering, I had to continuously oversteer to stay in lane safely. The windshield, in an out side mirrors an overall interior where filthy an smelled awful. I had to stop and get Windex an lysol to make truck somewhat decent to see out of an sit in. Halfway through my trip we had a rain storm, the windshield wipers where totally worn out, did nothing to clean windshield. I had to pull over 3btimes. The seat belt warning system constantly beeped causing more distractions. Finally the truck box itself was extremely filthy, dust first a 3 foot x 3 foot oil stain from some kind of motor. The smell of oil an cat urine caused me not to move my new mattress or sofa. ( I now need to rent another truck, probably a hertz or ryder) This truck has approximately 160,000 miles an should be scrapped. The albany N Y logistics team was rude and not helpful with me desired truck pick up location as promised with my online reservation an confirmation calls to your 800 call center. I have rented moving trucks from your company many many times without issues but this filth an safety issues pushed me to never do business with you again also, told friends an family about this experience. Please don't hold this over John garage in little falls ny. He is a good man. However, your main hub in albay,my is horrible, rude, not safety conscious. To put this truck in rental service is criminal and not good customer service. Your Albany team ruined my moving experience and really caused me to feel unsafe. I m calling local state DOT or State Police to inspect this vehicle. I have photos.
