I used 44 miles on this vehicle that was around 25,000 miles on the odometer. A 15 foot uhaul gets 8-12 miles per gallon and I had to pay for 8 gallons of overpriced gas at their location. While trying to ask if 44 miles uses 8 gallons of gas I was answered rudely with "I don't know, buddy, probably". I didn't tow more than a couple hundred pounds. I hope they top off their tanks on their own dime next time instead of chincing an extra 20 bucks in fuel out of every sorry sap. Especially when they'll charge you even more if the tank isn't full.

How U-Haul Reviews WorkI dropped off the vehicle at a location in Indianapolis. They advertised that they were open until 4:30, but the U-Haul rep left early, so I was unable to talk to anyone about my rental. The next morning, I found that I was charged hundreds of dollars in unexplained and bogus fees. I will never use U-Haul again - what they did was criminal.

GARY TI returned the truck and it didn’t get checked back in for over 24, after two calls to Uhaul and the manager getting involved. Otherwise, rental was fine, but don’t leave until you know your transaction is complete.
