Spuds Shack was clean and the personnel helpful; however, they charged me for gas when I returned the truck with 7/8 of a tank, exactly what I picked it up with. They also listed the rental return time as hours past the actual return time.

David PPick-up was fine and drop off was fine. In between was a disaster. I was convinced to participate in the "load share" program. I was told this was a "high priority" delivery so I needed to completely change my trip plan. I was sent more that 400 miles out of my way adding more than $250 in fuel cost and $150 for a hotel room near the pick-up spot in Myrtle Beach SC. when i arrives I was told that they hadn't weighed the item in advance and it was overweight and the trip was canceled. I have learned reading online that this happens more often than one would expect. So I lost $400 and an entire day. I will never be convinced to participate again and I am going to Reddit to spread the word and see how common this is. Be careful!
