The employee who assisted me at pickup was kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. My concern is not with his customer service, but with the condition of the vehicle and the rental process. Before leaving the facility, I was unable to access the online portal to upload my pre-rental photos of the truck. The employee attempted several times to resend the link, but each attempt resulted in an error message. He advised me that it was okay because he had already taken the required photos. I explained that I wasn’t comfortable relying solely on those photos and that I preferred to document the vehicle myself. I did take my own photos, and they are saved on my phone. A few hours into my trip, I discovered that both rear brake lights and the driver’s side rear turn signal were not functioning. This issue immediately delayed my travel, ultimately causing me to arrive home a full day later. Unfortunately, that delay created a chain reaction of additional problems that affected the rest of my moving experience. I rent from U-Haul frequently and have always had positive experiences, which is why this situation was so disappointing. I understand that unexpected issues can happen, but in this instance, the problems I encountered were the result of issues with the vehicle and rental process, not a failure on my part. I fulfilled all of my responsibilities as the customer, and the setbacks I experienced stemmed from circumstances that were within U-Haul’s responsibility to address before the truck was rented.

Picked up truck and tire was flat. Sticker on drivers window side that blocked visibility.. No one there at pickup time. Had to call company and told key was in lock box.
Paul SLocation was closed. The phone number listed would not go thru and no recorded message, I was apprehensive about leaving the key in a drop box that was not secured to a fixed object. It was sitting on the ground.
