The actual on site manager, Mr. Porter, went thru all the necessary paperwork in order for us to pick up our truck. When it became apparent that our rental was in Grand Falls to be picked up instead of Stephenville, Mr. Porter went to work to secure another on site vehicle at a lower price. If not for his expertise in handling alot of situations like this(through no fault of his own but thru the fault of the booking department in Halifax) we would be without a vehicle for our scheduled move. To improve future bookings i think the booking department in Halifax should confirm the vehicle is on site where the reservation originated. It is unrealistic for a customer who booked a vehicle in Stephenville to have to travel 4 hours to pick up!!

Danielle SDYI Guy was great to work with and got us on the road very quickly. The problem was with U-Haul's reservation system. My son had booked a 6×12 enclosed trailer weeks in advance, but when we arrived at the Corner Brook location, there wasn't one available for us. Instead, they only had a much smaller trailer that was nowhere near big enough for what we needed. Since our move had to happen that day, we were left scrambling. We ended up calling around ourselves and finally found a 6×12 trailer in Stephenville. We had to drive from Corner Brook to Stephenville to get it, and by the time we arrived, the trailer we had booked just an hour earlier was almost rented to someone else. DYI Guy provided excellent service and got us on the road quickly. Unfortunately, our experience with U-Haul's reservation system was very frustrating and caused a lot of unnecessary stress.
