How U-Haul Reviews WorkThe location and easy was very nice. However, the truck was not. The truck had a loud bang while sitting at the stop light and then the check engine light came on. From there the truck shifted very hard or sometimes not shift. Also, the ac in the truck didn’t work very well and it is 100 outside so that was miserable. The cabin also pressurized so you had to role a window down so your ears would keep pressurizing non stop. Made my move even more miserable.
CAMERON MI was supposed to pick up my uhaul at a different location but got a call that morning saying there was an emergency and they had to change where I would pick the uhaul up. They said they would text me the new address. When I received the text it said "1511 E FM 544 Wylie, TX 75098". The name "Wylie East Self Storage" was NOT provided. The issue is when you type "1511 E FM 544" into GPS it sends you to a completely differently location where a uhaul facility is not located. I even clicked the map link provided in the text and it still brought me to a location where there was no uhaul. I didn't have a contact number so I called the 1-800 number and had to go through all the automated messages before I got to a real person. I explained the situation and they informed me that it was "Wylie East Self Storage" where I could pick up the uhaul. Using that name in my GPS it showed a location approximately 10 minutes away from where the GPS originally brought me. Other than the frustration surrounding picking up the uahul, once we were at the right pick-up location everything went smoothly and there were no issues with the truck during the moving process.
