Denise L. | Overall ExperienceTL;DR Ask questions, be careful of Kryslyn. Ask for Mikayla, she rocks! Give her a raise!!! I initially came into the store in Ammon, ID on 2/6/23 with some general questions about our U-Boxes and getting a storage unit. I was told they had been delivered, but decided to hold off on getting a storage unit right then. Fast forward a week. My wife and I came in to get a storage unit and were assisted by Kryslyn. She seemed to be deep in thought looking at her computer screen trying to figure stuff out for us. After looking things over for a bit, she informed us that there was no option for a single 10x15 unit available but could do 2 separate units (a 5x10 and a 10x10) right next to each other. This was not an ideal solution, but seeing as this was the only option, we decided it would work. Kryslyn only charged us for only one disc lock even though we were getting two different units so that was nice! Then Kryslyn seemingly couldn’t confirm our U-Boxes had been delivered to the facility, when 2 managers earlier confirmed they had been delivered. This was slightly disconcerting, but I recognize information doesn’t always get relayed to everyone. To our delight Kryslyn wanted to personally put her eyes on the U-Boxes to confirm they were on-site! My wife and I wanted to come the following morning to start unloading the U-Boxes into our 2 units. Kryslyn said she’d call us if she could not find the U-Boxes, but not if they were in fact there at the facility. We asked Kryslyn to please call us no matter the result of her search for our own piece of mind. This seemingly wasn’t something Kryslyn was too keen on as she rolled her eyes at my request! My perception was that Kryslyn couldn’t be bothered to make a phone call to inform us that we would be all set for the following day. This really did not sit well with myself or my wife, but we got taken care of mostly, so who are we to really complain? We had not received a phone call by about 5:30pm that day so I decided to call the store and try and confirm things. I was never able to get the store on the phone; instead getting transferred to a call center. I finally gave up after getting rerouted to the call center 2 different times. Instead I would call in the morning bright and early when they opened at 7am. Once again, no store, only call center, TWICE! I decided to go to the store personally and try and see what was going on. I was greeted by Mikayla I had previously met at the store! It was during this visit she informed me she was the Assistant Manager! Mikayla promptly started digging into things. Mikayla was rightly surprised to see that we were sold the two different units when there was plenty of options available for a single 10x15 unit; also much closer to where the U-Boxes would be unloaded! Mikayla said it would be quick and easy to transfer. Mikayla then gave me the new contract to look over when she discovered I had paid for my first month (as one would expect!) when there was actually a promotion currently going for a free month. Mikayla promptly refunded my card for the free month. She waited for another employee to arrive then personally confirmed our U-Boxes being on site and called me personally to inform me as such. She deserves a raise!!! Thank you for your wonderful assistance Mikayla!!!

Diane M. | First ImpressionsThe Ammon U-Haul was awesome and the facility was very nice. I was asked to turn in my truck early on Sunday, which wasn’t a problem. UNTIL we went to the Grand Teton Storage and they were closed. I wasn’t given any info on where to park the truck. So…I called the Ammon U-Haul and explained to Nancy that maybe she could help. She apologized and said that she has never been there. She said that she would message them. At this moment I was hitting a wall due to driving 16 hours the day before, unloading some stuff at my new home and the rest to the storage unit. There were signs posted so I started to get on-line and go thru the return procedure. It had been snowing and I couldn’t really see anywhere to park so I parked the truck by the exit gate on the side. While this is all taking place there was a women looking out of her window next to the office that had a closed sign on. She let her dogs out and looked at me but never said a word. The door said Private so I didn’t want to bother her and she wasn’t very approachable either. She saw the U-Haul truck going around and then stopped in front of her door but didn’t say anything. While I was filing out the return on my phone in my car, she open her front door and wanted to know “What I was doing?” I explained I was told to drop off at this location and there is non signage of where to park a return truck??? She said to park it on the street so that’s what I did. She was not friendly at all! My experience from Arizona pick up and then storage drop off was great but the other location drop off was not pleasant. I was doing U-Haul a favor by turning it in early without any compensation offered and then it have it end like this.
