Issues arose with online bookings previously set up not being recognized, leading to longer wait times to get things set up, and then later an additional call to cancel the previous booking despite being assured that it was no longer active when signing up for a different storage unit. I was also double charged for a utility dolly i had previously reserved when setting up rental of truck. Thankfully the service rep I spoke with a couple days later was able to solve almost all of my issues. The final thing that was not right with my order was an item (bed cover) not being given to me anywhere, but I was still charged for it. So what could have been a 1 star review was rescued to three stars by the competence of the employee who helped sort out my issues. I didn't get his name, but if someone in HR sees this and can trace it in the system, he deserves a raise and/or recognition.

CHRISTINA W | First ImpressionsManager was on duty Friday night, kind and helpful. The 7am employee the next morning was rude and far from polite. I arrived at the store at 7 am. Walked in the store, oils not see anyone, but I did hear someone mumbling across the room. I followed the sound and found the employee. Extremely rude and impolite not a good way to begin my day of moving while paying U-haul for services.

In one instance, a straightforward issue I experienced was not resolved efficiently by the general manager, despite a simple solution being available within the system. This led to a direct call to corporate, who resolved the matter quickly. I believe improved manager responsiveness and a greater willingness to explore solutions would significantly enhance the customer experience.
JARRAD W | Overall ExperienceI rented a large unit . It wasn’t explained to me that it was to separate units side by side. When we only needed one they said I either had to pay for both or I would have to move all my stuff out of the one unit to another building across the parking lot. I was surprised to find out it wasn’t one unit but two that could not be separated. Not very good customer service
Marianne W | First ImpressionsI moved here from Virginia where I rented a one way trailer rental because I saw the first month storage rent was free. the assistant manager was not helpful and rude when I was checking in and tried to uncharge me on renters insurance and put me in a very interior unit. I spoke to the manager who relayed I did not have to pay for renters insurance because my home owners would cover it. I also told the assistant manager and manager I was retired Air Force. I ended up renting the unit for 45 days past the free rental date. the manager told me uhaul does not pro rate for the remaing 14 days I had paid for the rental. that would have been $75. Additionally, while talking to the manager he told me he had a customer who was upset because he wasn't told about the storage discount for disabled vets. the manager said all the employees ask if the customers qualify for any of discounts. I was not offered this discount when I got the storage unit or when I paid for the rental either time. this would have saved me an additional $40. the assistant manager was not knowledgeable and had no customer service skills. I have rented several times from uhaul and was about to rent again next week for a move from ammarillo tx to colorado springs one way truck.
