The hours could have been better as I would have preferred a 24 hr access facility for more convenience but the facility was always well maintained and mostly convenient. When moving out I was presented with an issue of the elevator being out in August and was frustrated with not getting proper help. After getting nowhere upper management all the way to the president of U-Haul South Carolina stepped in and provided movers and a truck all at no cost to assist with my move since the elevators were out of service. That was a “game changer”, and the experience made me glad that I chose U-Haul and I have also shared my complete satisfaction with my friends and family as well. Thank you Mr Matt Womack for turning a terrible situation into an enjoyable experience!

How U-Haul Reviews WorkI might have been overreacting a bit in my response but I was very frustrated. I got to the facility a little after 18:00. I began unloading into my storage unit. Realized there was no lock in the unit. I did not bring a lock with me. Office was closed and no one was answering the phone. I tried to call customer service and they were unable to assist. I reloaded my stuff back into my car and attempted to get in touch with the office again. I was unable to get in touch with anyone so I decided to cancel my storage rental. I planned on using this for about 6 months. I understand the person at the desk was away but there was no indication as to a return time and I can’t just sit around and wait to see if anyone would return.

I am a branch manager at a local staffing service, and if the two people that waited on me were my employees I would be looking for replacements. After my experience at the Elmwood location, I did phone the corporate office because I was unfairly charged extra fees ( which i was not aware of until i got home and looked at my bank account..) . The woman who helped me on the phone was very professional I appreciated her efforts If she were my employee, I would promote her
