Cynthia B | First ImpressionsI really had high hopes for this storage facility, but unfortunately, my experience was frustrating from the start. On the very first day, after signing the contract and renting my storage unit . I wasn’t provided with a lock. I was also given an access card that didn’t even work, which forced me to return to the main facility just to get a lock and working access cards. When I finally got to the unit, the access card still didn’t work. Hours later, I ended up having to use the access code at the keypad instead — even though I was specifically told to use the access card. A few weeks later, I came back to drop off some items and couldn’t get in again. I tried calling the manager of the location and even reached out to customer service — no one could solve the issue. The next day, I visited the main office again and explained what happened. I was basically told I had to pay extra for 24/7 access, even though I was under the impression I already had that access from day one. The customer service at the Salem location in Dayton, Ohio was rude and unhelpful. I explained that I had the access card, but it never worked — and instead of trying to troubleshoot or explain, I was just told I needed to pay more. What’s the point of giving me an access card if I don’t actually have access? To top it all off, even when alarms go off at the unit, no one responds. I was never able to reach security, not even once. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this location to friends or family. There were too many issues, no real help, and a lack of accountability across the board.

The team is very diverse in backgrounds and strength and all worked really well together for my several requests, while maintaining professionalism and effective communication. Jeff’s management and interpersonal skills are reflected through his team. I was surprised to meet Daniel unexpectedly as he was present one of the days I visited while helping support the team there that is already very busy. He was very friendly and informative. I was able to book my one way truck without having to call back with concerns. I also really enjoyed working with Ms. Breann, Ms. Belinda, and Jennifer. They assisted me with getting into my storage even after I lost my keys. Their recommendations and access they gave me to the building was top tier. Had I not been relocating, I would be interested in a job here. Keep up the great work guys!
Shawntell M | Overall ExperienceUnfortunately, I purchased my unit online. I was told it was 24 hour access upon purchase but I couldn’t access the unit until the next day! When I went the next day it denied my access then once inside, the alarm went off on me once I opened the unit door. Then, to top it off, there was no lock inside and I had to drive to another location to pick one up myself instead of someone bringing it up me! I hope this will help improve the issues I experienced. I feel as though I deserve some sort of compensation for my inconvenience but I know that won’t happen

Dayana L | Overall ExperienceThe website says 24hr access but that’s a lie, no where does it state you have to first pay to have 24hr access to YOUR belongings but you also have to have the GM assign it. So in my case, the place closed at 10pm leaving me with 2 car fulls of my belongings. I think it is absolutely absurd that a person, who pays for storage, has limited access to their belongings!
