How U-Haul Reviews WorkNo problems, received a unit quickly and was able to get out of it quickly and all was great. 👍
Vanessa N | Overall ExperienceWent in in person to reserve a unit for the following week. Later that day I received an email saying,”Payment due today”. Thinking I was going to lose my reservation if I didn’t go ahead and pay, I went ahead and followed the email’s instructions. Well…. That activated my unit start time a full week until I’m able to use it (have a broken wrist, the gave me an upstairs unit, and the facility doesn’t even have a freight elevator- what moron decided the facility that deals with heavy items doesn’t need a freight elevator. Wtf?!!). So I paid full price for 3 weeks instead of a full month. When I contacted support, the girl called me a liar about receiving an email saying, “Payment due today “ and then stopped replying altogether. I’m now going to have to pay for an additional month just to get one extra week. I feel completely scammed. The guys I dealt with in person seemed helpful, so no complaint on their end.But giving me a email that tricked me into activating my unit before I needed it was shady AF. Now I feel U-Haul is a dishonest company. I feel like their support team is completely unhelpful, unprofessional, and unreliable. I will never use U-Haul again after this.
