akilah t | First ImpressionsThere were several cars blocking the entryway after their owners had already unloaded their belongings into their storage units. The attendant struggled to identify the drivers to request that they move their vehicles, and despite multiple attempts to page them, there was no response. After waiting for some time, we received permission from management to navigate our truck through the cars-only entry point, which was quite inconvenient.

MATTIE P | Overall ExperienceMy storage unit has water damage despite being “secured” from the elements. It might’ve potentially ruined my $1,800 couch. I have filed a claim via safestor, but that shouldn’t be a concern for a storage unit, especially when nothing water-producing was contained in there. I also had a service request put in place after the water damage was discovered, but I heard nothing back. So upsetting. More can be done on u-haul’s part to prevent something like this, whether it’s leveling and grading the asphalt that the outside units are on or making them more weather resistant by raising them, especially with severe weather conditions becoming increasingly frequent. I’m not responsible for poor quality structure that is so-called storage, and I shouldn’t be punished with my items being damaged. Hopefully I get reimbursed from my claim, but something like this shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
