Storage is too expensive for monthly payments, then you have to add insurance and you tax for storage. It’s not worth it.
JALEN T | Overall ExperienceElevator should be maintained on a regular basis to ensure it does not break down.. At times it broke down and it took weeks before it was fixed. My unit was on the 3rd floor which made it very inconvenient to move my things. Overall after 3.5 years it was a good experience.
Yolanda G | Overall ExperienceNo one instructed us on how to use the after hours facility. I arrived at the storage unit 15 minutes before closing. The staff was very unfriendly and unhelpful. Once I was given the card for the 24 hour access because of the time that I arrived, I proceeded to go to open the doors. I was unable to open the door because I had not been given any instruction whatsoever so I had no idea that I needed to check in and then go to a different keypad to open the door. There were other customers there who also had difficulty getting in the door opened. We went back to the employees to ask for assistance. The time was near 7 o’clock, closing time. They sat in the parking lot and argued with us about how to open the door, but no one would walk over and give us instruction. I even requested that we walk over and actually do it versus having an argument in the parking lot. They refused. The two employees proceeded to leave. Later the manager came out and she did help. However, she was also the person who checked me in and never told me the process for using the doors. After they insisted that we were not following the instructions, the manager came over and tried, and the door was malfunctioning and we were not able to get in and neither was she. We were able to enter the unit by another customer leaving. I used U-Haul for nearly 3 years in Florida with my daughter college experience. We use the U box and had an excellent experience. These employees need to be retrained and or dismissed. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with U-Haul and will likely move my items as soon as I have an opportunity.

This is a crooked company and every single person who works for U-Haul are pimps, hoes, thugs, thieves and con artists! You all are a big fraud and should be deemed unfit to serve the public! I’m disgusted and outraged at the service I received and that Grand Prairie location off of I-20 should be nailed up and closed indefinitely. That general manager is running an underground, undercover Casino! He’s profiting off of customers, but doing no work! He’s a modern day 2025 hustler. I will NEVER, EVER do any type of business with U-Haul period! Anyone reading this beware “I told you”!
Shelia J | Overall ExperienceI shouldn’t have to be charged full price for a storage that I rent for only one week. It should be options on how many days to rent to be more convenient. Some sort of a daily pay or weekly pay. Even if you pay to use the storage for a month you should charge the days used and refund the money back. Times are hard to be taking a lost like that.
Cicely C | Overall ExperienceMy only issue was the employees taking up limited spaces at storage loading and unloading parking,,, they use that space to hook up trailers and conduct inspections etc... no common sense nor consideration for customers waiting for a space to load/unload
Edmund M | Overall ExperienceThe store Manager told me suck his @*#€ and other male workers started surrounding me repeating what the manager said. I got in defense position and the 2 female workers got in the middle trying to break up the commotion. The management needs to be replaced..I’ll be using another storage facility moving forward. I filed a police report and seeking an attorney for sexual assault without contact.
