I was a U-Haul customer for over two years and always paid on time. During my move, I left a sofa in an area where other items had already been left by different people, so I assumed it was an acceptable place to leave it temporarily. To my surprise, the manager called me demanding that I return immediately to remove the sofa or I would be charged a $250 fee. I explained that I was at work and asked for some time to come back and move it, but there was very little understanding or flexibility. After being a loyal customer for so long, I am very disappointed by the lack of empathy and customer service. A little more understanding during a stressful moving day would have made a big difference.

Purchasing my unit was very easy! However, the instructions on how to access it could've been better. Staff should be more attentive towards giving customers full instructions on how to get in their actual units at time of purchase instead of just swiping their credit cards.

I had a spinal cord injury about 4 years ago and between surgeries and losing my apartment, I knew that the one worry I didn’t have, was making sure my family’s belongings weee secure during a very difficult time. When money got tight during my rehabilitation, U-Haul worked with me to make sure that my unit wasn’t going anywhere. I am finally able to empty the unit and have secure employment and housing after 3 years of uncertainty. Without the professionalism, convenience, kindness and flexibility of U-Haul, I would have to start over with nothing. So thank you for your help though one of life’s most challenging times. will be a customer for life. And tell everyone I know how they should be doing the same.
