I can’t understand why it’s U-Haul‘s policy not to contact the people who rent at your facility that you had a flood. This is unacceptable. I plan on contacting the Better Business Bureau, the local newspaper and the chamber of commerce about what had happened here.When I inquired what had happened, the manager (Nikki) told me that she had just started working in this facility and did not know of a flood. Again this is unacceptable. Her immediate response was did I purchase the insurance policy. I had no knowledge of this policy. I doubt that the policy covers flooding. Even though it was my son‘s clothing and some electronics that were destroyed. I think someone should call and let people know of a flood situation so that they can go and take care of their belongings. The question I have is this U-Haul‘s policy not to contact people? Grace k | Overall ExperienceWhen staff took me to the assigned storage unit, it was not empty but locked. Apparently due to mismanagement and need to rent a bigger unit and cost more. This makes the online reservation useless and costly.

Seth M | First Impressionsmy entire experience, renting my vehicle and my storage unit from this facility was not pleasant. It started when picking up the vehicle I was told rather rudely that I was late for my pick up despite me calling the week prior letting an individual there know that my pick up time would likely be later and I was informed it was not a problem and that as long as I picked up the vehicle within their normal operating hours. When I arrived at 3 PM to pick up the vehicle, I was told I was lucky that they still had the vehicle because they got very busy and I was two hours past my time that I had indicated on my reservation and that I should have called to inform them I would be later than that time even though I said to the person I did call when I made the reservation and they told me my reservation was good for the entire day until they were closed at 5 o’clock. So after going round and round a few times about that issue, I then proceeded to move onto finalizing my storage unit rental, which had already been set up and confirmed with a reservation number. I was told that they did not have that unit available and that I would have to then take a larger size unit at an additional cost despite having a reservation number. They told me that if I had an issue, I should just take it up with the manager at a later time, when we returned with the items to be stored later that evening, there were issues getting into the actual storage unit while we were able to access the doors and pull the van in the main doors leading to the elevators would not operate despite having an appropriate check in with our swipe card indicating we were all cleared. I attempted to contact the emergency number that was posted by the door but after 45 minutes still had no response. Luckily another client arrived at 9:45 PM and they indicated that the bigger doors were not functioning and that you had to use the smaller side door. It would’ve been nice if there was a sign posted telling the customers this. It is now two days later and I still never received any call back from the emergency call number that I left a message with so if it was Nofer, the other individual showing up to store stuff we would’ve been unable to store our items.
