The U-haul app needs a major revamp. When returning the truck, the app did not respond at all. Spent 20mins trying to figure it out while calling customer care. Not the most seamless procedure.

I selected an ‘over the counter’ pickup when I booked a van rental on the U-Haul website. I did this because I didn’t want to complete a pickup online. I recently experienced a serious hack incident and want to minimize my online ‘footprint’ When I got to the location it was closed! No staff were in sight. I phoned the company involved and their only response was to tell me the keys were in the back of the van so I had to download the U-Haul app and complete the pickup online! I called U-Haul’s customer service line. Their advice was to do the same or they could find another van at another location! At no point did anyone apologize that I did not get the ‘over the counter’ pickup that I’d requested! I needed the van urgently so I had no choice but to provide my personal details online and complete the pick up online. U-Haul should not offer an ‘over the counter’ pickup if it is not, in fact, available!! I am one very dissatisfied customer, who is unlikely to return for future business!!

Rahul SavaniTruck was full of melted chocolate ega and not swept out. The cab absolutely stunk and made my son who was driving want to vomit. The whole thing was more bookings fault as we were to get a cart and blankets in the rental. I booked ahead for these things and the booking made a mistake not knowing it was closed on the Monday for stat Canada Day holiday. I was sent to this location. Not far but it took us over an hour to deal with the phone to change the location and find a truck for 24/7 pick up and then they wanted it back for The original time out time frame. I was very agitated by the whole process as I bad people waiting to help and they had places to be after as well. All and all not a great experience for the 24/7 pickup
Mark SchellThere was nobody at the location to help us. It took more than 20 minutes for somebody to reply to us just to say that we should do everything online. The truck was dirty and the parking brake was broken. Besides that, the air pressure of all tires were flat and the truck was with a low fuel level. Horrible experience.
