our rental was not avaiable at the location we selected. When we were notified of that we were also told the truck we needed wasnt available either. We were then bounced around from different locations and ultimately were only able to get a truck too big for what we needed which drove costs up and wasnt alot of time. would not reccomend or use Uhaul again.

I have never had a worse experience with UHaul. Where I finally picked my truck was not the reserved location. I had to go to this location because the original location did not have my reserved truck at 7am. They said I would hace to wait because the intended truck was not returned. After waiting for a decision by the workers there I was told by them and a person on the phone that I had two options: wait for another truck at the other location to arrive or to go to a location in Santa Ana that did not open until 10am. After deciding to wait but eventually being told that no truck would be available at the original location, I decided to Santa Ana but then found out it was not a 26 foot truck but smaller. I now had to go a third location that was farther away from where I needed to take the truck. I was told by the UHaul person on the phone that no location they would find me allowed for one way drop off. I would have to return the truck to this same location. When I got to the location the person was very hard to understand because he spoke with a foreign Asian accent. He also had difficulty understanding me and didn’t want to hear my story. He also could not initially find my reservation and when he did, said he did not see any notes about what had transpired and the extra 100 miles I was offered by the person on the phone or the extra day I would be given because of the inconvenience. Because of time lost I didn’t want to argue or call UHaul. To my surprise he asked me if I wanted to pay extra for a one way drop off!! But by this time I had already paid to stay another night at the hotel ($225) because I was told on the phone by the UHaul representative that I had to return the truck to the same location. Both the driver and passenger side was muddy (photos submitted). The worst part of all was that I did not notice that the back of the truck had a tumbler lock on it. I believe if you zoom in on the required “before you leave” the location photos you will see it. I did not because I had to back up to take the photo. I guess I would have noticed if the app had required to take a photo of the inside of the back of the truck. When I discovered the lock after I arrived at the indented location, it took several phone calls to finally get someone to tell me the lock combination. Super frustrated and disappointed. I would really like a phone call from UHaul because it does not make sense that the day before I received a phone call confirming my reservation and pick up location and acknowledgement it was a one way reservation.
REYNALDO LI was charge 30$ for gas when the gas was 1/4 and I literally drove less than 15 miles
