Truck was reserved several weeks in advance at a specific U-Haul location near my storage unit. 2 days before the rental, I received an e-mail that I would have to pick up the truck at a different location, 15 mins further away. The pick up directions were unclear. The e-mail I received stated I would receive a phone call the night prior to the rental. Never received a phone call. The e-mail also stated I needed to "check-in", however, when I logged into the app, there was no option to check in. Picked up the truck the morning of the rental. Tire Service Monitoring System warning light was on. Was not sure if this would be a problem for the 3-hour drive I had ahead, and since there was no employee to ask, I took the risk and drove the truck. Upon pick-up the truck only had 1/2 tank of gas in it. Not enough for my 3-hour drive, so had to stop and fill the tank. The truck also had a bit of an unpleasant odor, similar to that of a locker room. The only positive was the employee who checked the truck back in at the return location. He was very friendly and the process was fast. Far better than trying to navigate the app.

The software app is TERRIBLE. The sequence takes you to the pay step and then throws an error because not all the information (e.g., photos of truck) was submitted. Why doesn't it ask for that FIRST? This is the worst app I've had the misfortune of using in a very long time. I would not willingly use it again.
Paul PNot a manned store--Drop box. Did not want to deal with downloading the app. Eventually able to complete the return. Post alternative instructions to make drop off smoother! Location is not in a safe area.

Tom BThis location was terrible it’s in a gas station and he kept helping other customers in between helping us while telling me he couldn’t find my reservation he had a very thick accent so I couldn’t understand some of the stuff he was saying and the truck we got was in HORRRIBLE condition the alignment was so off that we had to drive with the wheel turned left in order to go straight in really ticked that we had to pay for such bad service and a horrible condition vehicle
