It is very inconvenient that Michaels Upholstery closes at noon each day. Pick up was a nightmare. And I couldn’t call them to ask questions or make the reservation because they close at noon. Michaels did a great job pre-pickup. They called me to verify my reservation and the items we had requested. The gal said our order included an odd number of blankets and hand trucks and that that has been happening with online orders. Good job Michaels. U-Haul — please fix your website. The App at pickup: I could not get the app to recognize my order. It just showed up blank over and over while my wife kids were sitting in the car (on a blazing hot day). I took time off work to pick the truck up so I was loosing billable hours. I called the 800 number (which Michaels actually told me to call if I had issues at pickup. Good job Michaels!). I made the mistake of having the automated system call me back instead of waiting on hold. TURNS OUT that it takes 2-3x as long for automated call back as just waiting on hold. I called back and got a hold of customer service after a shorter wait. Very patient and helpful. But it took the gal 20 mins just to get the app working. We finally discovered that it wasn’t recognizing my phone number but needed my email. U-HAUL - please fix the app! I tried several times to update and reinstall the app and restart my phone. My wife also tried from her phone. Then we had issues getting the app to recognize my camera so it wouldn’t take photos of the truck or drivers license. Customer service had to use a work around via text message and the web. Drop Off: went just fine and pretty fast.
